By late afternoon, Stevie and Lindsey were going about their day and they checked on their sleeping daughter every so often to make sure she was breathing. They watched her sleep in the doorway and they smiled. Stevie had felt do fortunate, to have everything fall into place as it had. She had a dream life. She had the best daughter, best husband, the dream job, and she was about to become a grandmother. She was thrilled with her life and she was so happy that the people around her had good energy. Nobody was negative and they were happy. She honestly felt that something was going to be crashing down, since things were going so well.

...

Around mid evening, Lucy had finally woken up and she got herself together. She still wanted to do something with her parents and hang out with them. The family normally like to hang out every week if they weren't busy. Since Stevie and Lindsey didn't see their girl for a whole week, they wanted to see her and spend som time.

Lucy made her way through the home and went she came down the stairs, she noticed it was quiet. "Mom, dad?" she called.

"Right here," Stevie met her at the end of the stairs, that were in the foyer. "Did you sleep well?" she asked.

Lucy nodded and walked into her mother's arms.

"You okay?" her mother asked into her hair as she gave her a kiss.

"Mhmm, where's dad?"

"He is getting some dinner. Right after, we can go to a movie."

"Sounds good, what's he getting?"

"Italian."

"That sounds even better. I've been craving some garlic bread," Lucy beamed.

Stevie chuckled deeply to herself. "Your dad said to pick a movie so scroll away on your phone. Lots of good ones playing, I hear."

"Mhmm, I wanna see Mamma Mia. Meryl Streep is in that one. Does that sound okay?"

"Whatever makes you happy," Stevie smiled. She had just heard there were a ton of good movies but she stopped keeping track.

"It's a musical, but I think dad would like it, it's not Disney or anything," Lucy clarified.

"I don't think he'd turn you down anyway," she chuckled. Stevie was then taken by the sound of the singing kettle in the kitchen. "Do you want some tea?" she asked as she made her way to the kitchen.

"Yeah, thanks---" Lucy followed her mom and sat at the dining room table. There, she sat Indian style and kind of messed with her phone in her lap.

"So, did Elijah have any plans this evening, other than sleep?" her mother asked as she brought a mug of tea to the table.

"Uh, I don't know. Both of us have been pretty exhausted and I honestly don't remember anything after getting in the car with Karen. I remember, Elijah and Karen putting our things in the trunk, Elijah sitting in the back and then from there I knocked out."

"Sounds like me," Stevie chuckled. "So when are you due? you never gave us any info about baby."

"Oh well--"

"Hey, you're up," said Lindsey as he entered.

"Yep, I'm up," she giggled as she eyed the food. She was actually starved from not eating because she was so tired and sleeping. The scent of the food just made her mouth water.

He walked in and as he neared her, he gave Stevie the bag of food and kissed the top of his daughter's head.

Lucy had just laid her head on her father's chest. She was so in love with him and he just filled the emptiness in her heart. She had grown so close to him and she was so happy that her parents didn't have any issues. She loved that they were always flirtatious with one another and that she didn't have to wait long for them to marry. She felt so lucky to have both of them because, it was all a little sudden. She went from having one parent and a large support system to having two parents and now a growing family.
