He woke up to Hiyori's worried face.
For the last ten minutes, she had been trying to wake him up, scared. Both because of his safety and hers. She was worried by what the woman had said. Worried that without him, she will take advantage and kill her.
But she just stood there. Her eyes closed as if she was in a trance herself. The monsters around her moved no inch closer.
The stranger took a deep breath as his eyes fluttered open, as if he just woke up from a nightmare. A terrible nightmare in a span of 10 minutes.
Hiyori wasn't that dumb. She knew something was going on. The creatures and people with her belonged to a different kind of society. They were no mere human.
They were different. They knew things, she too, she did.
But she... Forgot?
As soon as the ice blue eyed stranger woke up, he quickly jumped into his feet, his two stainless katanas held in both of his hands.
"It was a wish, Shino. They paid me to get rid of it." His cold voice filled the quiet air around them. The woman's eyes, or Shino's, slowly opened, a pitiful smirk in her lips.
She laughed.
The phantoms around them lurched forward, the endless chants were louder to hear. Shino's laugh and figure disappeared and drowned out of the countless monsters surrounding him and Hiyori.
Rend after rend, lights sparked out of the eliminated creatures. Yet even after endless battles, they never seemed to be gone.
He couldn't take it anymore, Hiyori tried to fight, she couldn't take it too.
"Run, now!"
Panting, he held on Hiyori's hand. Throwing a sword in the direction he was taking her to and trying to find a way out by creating a path.
Even though tired, Hiyori still found enough strength to run fast. The woman's voice echoed, "You can run, but you can never escape. This is my world. My realm."

Hiyori followed him to the other side of the amusement park.
Panting and breathing deeply, he yanked her inside an empty and dark souvenir shop. It was just like how Hiyori remembered it to be. Yet it had occasionally flickering lights, broken and stained windows and most of the yellow and jolly Capypa land souvenirs are strewn all over the place.
Headache hits again.
Hiyori cant hold it in anymore. Tears walled up her eyes as she slowly collapsed on the corner of the store. The feeling of familiarity and forgetting. She was tired of all of it.
He heard her. Standing on watch near the doors, he looked at her slumped and balled up figure, leaning on the corner and crying.
His blue eyes softened, he was no more of what he was earlier. The cold glow of his electric blue eyes was gone. The lights continued to flicker occasionally.
Walking to her and kneeling in front of her, he placed his weapon down.
"Don't cry, " He murmured to her but continued to avoid eye contact. Hiyori looked at him, his dark hair messed up, almost covering his left eye.
"W-Who... Who are y-you?" She sniffled, wiping her tears using her right hand.
As if he was struck by the question, his eyes automatically met with hers. His mouth quivered a bit, yet he didn't dare speak a word.
She spoke up, "Tell me, who are you?" Another batch of tears rolled down her cheeks, "I knew there was something about you, so please, tell me."
"Please, you have nothing to lose."
