i'm afraid to
fall asleep,
linden grace.
whenever i go
to the verge of
utter lethargy,
it feels like i'm
treading the
pacific ocean
but i'm still on
my back over
something else
a shallow puddle
murky and thin;
cold and ignored
as the shallows
dampen my back,
it also engulfs me
my whole being
my whole self
my whole soul
i'm drowning in
blood-stained
shallows, lindie.
i ask of you to
drown with me
so i can have you.
