Chapter 64

                                    

                                          
Emmett's POV:
                          
It had been 20 hours of Jeanie's screams interrupting the otherwise silent house. I had done everything I could to try and comfort her, as I knew that Evelyn had as well. If I could cry I knew that I would have joined her as her tears seemed to never cease. 
                          
The bit of sleep she had gotten through the night did not see an end to her tears as she continued to cry. She had woken this morning saying it wasn't as bad as it was yesterday, but I could see through the lie as soon as she spoke. Evelyn had not slept at all throughout the night, and for that I was eternally grateful to her. 
                          
Alice had come in while she was sleeping last night to tell me that she had bought the Christmas presents that I was going to give to Jeanie and the rest of the family. As well as a few surprise presents for some guests that would be coming unexpectantly. I could only stare at her as she told me that as I laid next to my sleeping mate who was still shaking in pain. 
                          
Only Alice could still think of Christmas at a time like this, though since it was tomorrow, I couldn't complain too much. Jeanie might not even celebrate Christmas, I had forgotten to ask her, but I still wanted to make sure she had the best Christmas ever. 
                          
"It is almost over. She is asleep now, and when she wakes next it should be over. It is rare that breaking the curse lasts a full day." (Eve)
                          
"Thank you Evelyn." (Em)
                          
"It is no problem." (Eve)
                          
"No, I mean....thank you for everything you've done for her." (Em)
                          
I saw as Evelyn paused in what she was doing before she looked up at me and smiled the full smile towards me since meeting her. I felt myself returning it as she continued to look at me and then Jeanie. 
                          
"It is an honor to be asked to assist with the breaking of a genie's curse. Even more so since she is a dear friend of mine. I believe that she is lucky to have found the one for her after so much time alone." (Eve)
                          
"Does that mean he finally beat out Swen?" (J)
                          
I froze a bit before I turned to look at my mate staring at Evelyn with a smile on her face, the shaking completely gone as she seemed to instantly relax in my arms. I felt myself relax when I saw her laugh along with Evelyn, before I pulled her into my arms for a hug. 
                          
"Thank God it's over." (Em)
                          
"Trust me I'm just as happy about it being over as you are Em. Evelyn, thank you my friend. Will you be here tomorrow?" (J)
                          
"I will make an appearance but for now I must go home. I have much to tell Elijah." (Eve)
                          
"He is welcome as well you know." (J)
                          
"I will tell him. It may be that we both drop in tomorrow. Until then my friend." (Eve)
                          
She nodded her head towards us both and then walked as gracefully as a vampire, perhaps even more so, out the bedroom door. A few moments later I heard the front door closer and then heard the musical whistle that I knew was calling for Ursa or Uni to give Evelyn a ride home.
                          
"Emmett, where is everyone else?" (J)
                          
"Oh.....well they thought we would want some privacy after you woke up and they uh....they left the house to us for a while." (Em)
                          
"Oh really?" (J)
                          
I had expected her to say something in response to that instead of 'oh really,' so I was surprised when I felt her hands around my neck pulling me closer to her. I looked down into her shining blue eyes and saw her smiling full force before she pulled me closer. 
                          
"Well let's not waste their gift of privacy then. Who knows when we'll get another change like this." (J) 
                          
I smirked for a moment before I felt her lips slam into mine, and I wrapped my arms around her pulling her closer to my chest. I felt her working on the buttons of my shirt before I felt her warm hands travel across my bare chest. I left her lips and started working my way down her jaw and then her neck with my lips as she gasped my name. I was never more thankful to Alice that she suggested the entire family leave the house for a while. 
                          
Jeanie's POV: 
                          
I was already out of my shirt, left in a thin tank with a sports bra and sweatpants as Emmett laid on top of me in nothing but his boxers. I could already feel him getting harder than normal as he kissed his way back up my neck and to my lips, earning another moan as he paused for a moment on my neck. 
                          
I felt him pull away and I missed the warmth he brought me, even if he was ice cold to the touch. I meet his golden eyes with my own as he smiled a soft smile down at me and I returned it. 
                          
"Are you sure you're ready Jeanie?" (Em) 
                          
"I've been waiting for you Emmett for the last thousand years, don't make me wait longer. Please." (J)
                          
"Your wish is now my command Jeanie. I love you." (Em)
                          
"I love you." (J)
                          
I smiled into the kiss as his fingers found their way into my curls and mine found their way over his shoulders. I was telling him the absolute truth though, I was more than ready for this moment with him. He was just going to lift my tank over my head when the room was flooded in golden light. 
                          
"Jeanie of the Egyptian Genies, you are being immediately summoned by the High Genie Council. To disobey is to face punishment." (Council)
                          
I froze where I was laying and looked at Emmett. I wasn't sure why I was being summoned by I could think of several things recently that could be the reason of why I was being summoned so suddenly and they did not bode well for me. 
                          
"Jeanie, what did that mean?" (Em)
                          
"I....I don't know Emmett but I must go. Goodbye love." (J)
