it was the day of their dating anniversary. already one year of happiness and love went by.
taehyung and jungkook were outside of a night club where they celebrated this event with their friends. the group of seven stood near the exit, discussing the moment.
it was windy and soon enough the first droplets of rain fell on their soft heads.
"already a year of you guys dating? you should be married by now!" one of their friends, namjoon, spoke and gave out a chuckle.
"you're being ridiculous. they are too young to get married." another friend, jimin, chirped in.
"honestly, getting married at 20, for me, is not early at all." jungkook answered giving a slight shrug with his shoulders.
"is that a hint that you want me to propose?" taehyung asked narrowing his eyes at his loved one.
"not really." jungkook replied giving the older a back hug.
the others watched them and smiled to themselves. they were young and reckless. their love for each other was mutal.
"ok it's starting to rain, we're gonna go now." jin announced and gestured the rest to go in. "have a safe ride home and drive safe, the road is gonna be slippery from the rain."
taehyung and jungkook went inside the car and waved a bye-bye to their friends as all of them ran to hide from the heavy rain.
the couple was left alone in their car, jungkook at the drivers seat and taehyung next to him. they looked at each other and smiled. their smiles were full of happiness and warmth. when they looked at each other with all the love in their eyes, it felt like the time had stopped and they were the only ones left on this planet.
"if we're going to spend the rest of the day starring at each other, then we better do it at our house where it's actually warm and comfy." taehyung exclaimed breaking the silence between them.
"hah, you're right." jungkook answered buckling his seatbelt and starting the engine.
the car lights lit up and some buttons started blimming with an electric blue. taehyung buckled up and leaned back in his seat giving an exhausted sigh.
jungkook started driving and slowly sped up as they reached the highway. there were barely no cars, counting the fact that it was past midnight. the street lights jumped in and out of the car as they drove. the radio was playing some calm music at a low volume. the window made squeaky noises every now and then.
"you should slow down a bit, it's raining after all." taehyung warned jungkook seeing that he was driving 90 km/h.
"there are barely any cars out here and I just want to get home and cuddle with you tae." jungkook answered sweetly.
"we'll make some hot chocolate and fall asleep in each other's embrace to the faint sound of some k-drama in the background." taehyung spoke sliding his hand through his hair.
"that sounds magical." jungkook giggled and starred at tae before focusing back on the road.
"you know I love you, tae." jungkook told him and smiled widely.
taehyung smiled back in response and took his free hand, intertwining their fingers that fit perfectly in one another's hand.
"i love you too, kookie. and i'll always be there with you no matter what."
they were so happy that they were together. it felt not just wonderful but secure and insanely good. it was as if they were meant for each other from the day they were born. everyone supported their relationship and even taehyung's parents who were against it at first.
jungkook saw how happily taehyung was smiling so he turned his head to look at him.
"taehyung you are breathtakingly beautiful, i am so lucky to have you." jungkook said still looking at tae and smiling back.
"you're the beautiful one here and I am lucky to have you as well." taehyung responded taking his hand again.
"i am pretty sure that w-"
"jungkook watch out!!!!!!!"
