Tony leaned in and Ziva let him kiss her back. Then she pulled away knowing that Tony may not even remember this in the morning.
Tony seeming to read her mind, said, "It is wearing off, I will have a hangover but I am sure I will remember this. I will not think you took advantage. You want to go somewhere?"
Ziva looked around for the others but they had all disappeared some where. Maybe, this was a setup just not the work kind but the romantic kind.
She said, "How about I drive you home?" Tony said, "Only if you agree to come in with me and stay, I may need someone to watch me sleep tonight."
"Sleep, yeah right, ok," Ziva scoffed, but helped Tony outside to her car. There was a note on the windshield, "Don't go too crazy, Love Abby." Ziva shook her head, definetely a set up.
When they got to his apartment, Ziva helped Tony out of the car and up to the door. She started to help him in when he said, "I should carry you over the threshold."
"Tony, we are not married! We are nothing!" the moment she spoke she saw the pain in his eyes. She softened, "ok I know you were joking, I am just cranky." He got over it quickly as most happy drunks do. She prayed that of all thinks he may forget that part of this whole crazy night.
She spent a good minute debating, couch, bed, with him alone, leave or stay. Then she decided bed, him couch her, and stay the night leave as early as she can. Oddly enough, Tony only got up once to get sick. Ziva helped him, she was still wide awake. He seemed to know that she was there and was perfectly ok with her taking care of him. And she was too, she found herself thinking she could get used to this, not the cleaning up puke and drunken friend but the taking care of someone, and spending the night with someone she cared about. She finally fell asleep dreaming of her past as well as the present and a very beautiful future.
Tony actually fell into a peaceful dreamfilled sleep about majical women whisking him away, then a super ninja attacked them and swept him away to her secret hideaway. It had gotten violent, he awoke smiling though, the magical women were faceless, at least no one he knew, but the ninja, his hero, was Ziva. His hero, in real life was always Ziva. That fact, made reality so much better than fantasy!
