Rebecca

I sit on the couch staring at the ring admiring how the light catches the simplicity of it all. Andre has my heart in every way possible. He's so good to me even when we both know when I'm being a bitch and don't deserve anything he does for me.

"Okay I'm ready." My hand falls to my lap and I see Andre walking down the hallway rubbing his hands together. He's in blue jeans with a Supreme tee and a black jacket, "What?" He asks holding his arms out slightly from his body. I smile pushing some hair out of my face, "Nothing." He rolls his eyes and I get up from my seat pulling my jeans up on my hips. The rip in the knee is no longer at full exposure when I stand, "Well a 'you look cute' would've been nice." He says crossing his arms.

I rest my hands on his folded arms, "You look beautiful baby." He smirks, "Now that's better." He says scooping me up, "See that easy." I laugh as he kisses my cheek. His brown eyes make me get lost for a moment, "You ready?" He asks letting go of me, "Yeah how do I look?" I say stepping backwards, "Cute as fuck." I laugh smoothing out my plain yellow tee, "I just need my jacket." I say walking to the door and pull in my grey jacket.

Andre kicks my feet, "Will you stop." I laugh kicking him back, "Nope I'm going to annoy you all day." He says smacking my butt. I roll my eyes letting him go, "Purse?" He holds out my bag, "I got it, go." He says so nonchalantly and I open the front door. The weather is cold but thankfully it's almost March so it's staring to get warm again. Right now we're on our way to his Grandmas house, she's having a family night dinner.

She insisted that I come tonight.

I don't know how I got so lucky, "Stop thinking babe." Andre says opening the passenger door for me, "It's a good thought." He smiles as I get in and he puts my purse in my lap. I put on my seat belt as closed my door then walks to the drivers side. I put my purse in the floorboard, "Oh Lordy." He says getting in. The first thing he does is take his jacket off, "Why do you even wear it if you're just gonna take it off." He mocks me as the engine starts up.

I put his jacket in the back seat, "We have to pick up some people." He says holding my head rest so he can back out. I can't help but watch as the muscles in his arms flex as he  backs the car up. His face full of concentration as his eyebrows furrow just enough to be noticeable. I bite my lip as his hand grips the wheel, wait why am I jealous of the steering wheel? Wow, good job Rebecca a damn steering wheel.

He gets us out okay and I can hear his watch jingle as he moves his hand from my head rest. I turn the air cooler on my side because of tension, "You alright?" He says watching the traffic out the front windshield. I slip out of my jacket, "Yeah, I'm fine." I say and he blows a raspberry, "Okay." I cross my leg over the other and rest my elbow on the middle console.

He gets a shot out of the parking lot and he takes it, "Uh where are you going?" I say resting my chin in my hand, "I told you we have to pick up some people." He says glancing at me. I shrug, "Must've missed it." He chuckles squeezing my thigh, "Don't worry okay." I watch as we drive toward the airport, "Who flew in?" I ask laying my hand over his and he holds some fingers, "My aunt and uncle." I nod.

His thumb rubs slow lines on my fingers, "Oh that's cool." I say, "Alright what's up?" He says and his hand falls to the bottom of the steering wheel, "Nothings wrong Dre." I sit up and run my nails over his tattoos on his arm, "Your problems are my problems, we're in this together." He says and I smile, "I know, but nothings wrong I'm serious." I weasel my fingers under the sleeve of his shirt and he glances at me, "Okay, but you'd tell me right?" I nod rubbing his shoulder, "Yeah."

I smile as we turn into the airport, "Good because I freaking love you." He says laughing. I retract my hand from under his shirt and he navigates us to a place we can park. We slip up next to the doors with some people standing outside looking for cars. Andre puts the car in park, "Two seconds." He unbuckles himself and plants a small kiss on my lips. He gets out of the car and a couple shoots out of the door straight to him.

I'm taken back for a moment until Andre smiles and welcomes the woman with a hug. Her brown hair is short and full of small, natural curls. She looks like Victoria with her build and her style. For someone who just got off a plane they both look amazing. His skin tone is darker than Andre's but his dark brown hair matches Andre's. He's rather built from what I can see.

A skinny woman comes out and Andre looks back at the car for a moment before redirecting his attention. She's about his age, since he's four years older than me, her hair is straight and there's two braids keeping the stray hair out of her face. She was skinny and her skin was a light olive, "Well they aren't related." I say to myself as she hugs him and kisses his cheek. I stir in my seat and take his jacket from the backseat and lay it in my lap.

Yay another girl I have to worry about. I watch as Andre helps with their bags and puts them in the trunk. I sit up in my seat and uncross my legs just to cross them with the opposite leg on top. I hear the back doors open and there's a rustling as everyone climbs in. Andre gets in and steals glances at me as they get settled in, "Are you guys cold or anything?" He asks looking in the backseat, "No I'm actually good." A girls voice rings out and Andre nods, "Okay."

He clips his seat belt and begins driving us away from the airport. I tuck some hair behind my ear, "This is Rebecca." Andre says looking in his rear view mirror. I turn around and offer a smile, "Wait the Rebecca?" The man says from behind my seat. He has his arm resting behind the older woman's head, "Well I mean she looks like her doesn't she?" She says turning to the man. I turn around in my seat and Andre just smiles.

How do these people know who I am?

"Pull up the picture." He says tapping her leg. My first thought is to run, but I can't really do that if I'm in a moving car. Andre rests his elbow on the window seal, "This is her guys, chill." He chuckles sending me a smile, "Shut up." The woman says, "It is her she just looks a little different now." I look down at my nails painted white then the sparkly four karat ring, "How does she look different?" Andre laughs driving back the way we came.

I didn't think I changed that much, "Her face is fuller and she also has that little ring on her finger." She says shaking Andre's shoulder, "Congrats Andre." She says excitedly, "Thanks Mags." He says smiling, "Can I see it?" She asks and I turn around and hold out my hand, "It's so beautiful." Mags says touching the diamond, "Is it real?" The younger woman asks and the man laughs, "If it's that size I hope so."

I laugh lightly, "It's real Jordan geez." Andre says shaking his head. I turn around and he shifts in his seat so he can reach over to me. He interlocks our fingers and brings my hand up to his mouth and he holds it against his mouth. I can feel his soft beard against the back of my hand, "So you actually said yes?" Jordan asks, "Well yeah after I made sure he wasn't joking." I say and hear Mags laugh, "My kind of girl."

Andre pulls into his grandma's neighborhood and I squeeze his hand. I watch as we pass different houses each with a different story to tell. At one house there's kids playing in the front yard with a golden retriever. I smile at the thought of having my own kids one day. God I can't wait.
