"Grayson, what the hell are you doing?"
Lucy stands at the doorway, her arms crossed and shoulder leaning on the trim. I take scoop a spoonful of sliced pineapples in my mouth. I don't think my stomach can take another can of these but I can't help but eat these all when I'll be visiting Tahain a visit.
"Leave me alone, I'm anxious." I whine with my mouth full. The ferrous rolls her eyes walking into the kitchen and opening up a cupboard. She pulls out a box of cinnamon flavored cereal and sets it on the counter. She uses her one and only arm to close the cabinet.
"What're you makin? Smells like blueberries." She opens another cabinet, this time grabbing a bowl. She gets into the fridge, pulling out a carton of almond milk since she can't have ordinary milk.
"I'm makimg blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies for Tahain and his friends." I answer, sighing and pushing away an empty pineapple can. I haven't visited Tahain in weeks. I'm very nervous, but I don't understand why. He should be happy since he has those scyras now. Lucy sets her bowl on the table.
"Are you dragging me along with you? How are you even going to get there in one day?" Lucy takes a bite from her cereal. I push my seat away from the table and walk to the oven. I pull it open, heat blows into my face.
"I have that weird paper, remember? We tested it out on literally everything." I answer her. "And yes, you're coming. Otherwise you get no cookies or muffins." I boss her around, getting puppy eyes back. I roll my eyes when I turn around, seeing that neither of the pastries are done. I close the oven.
"Fine," Lucy grunts, "so what happened after you left Lyra and I? Did you ditch us to be with Andrew or something?" I immediately begin laughing, my eyes leaking at the thought of getting with Andrew out of all people. I bend over in my laughter, then stand up straight and cut off the laughter with a frown.
"No."
"Then what the fuck happened man!"
Lucy snaps, yelling with food in her mouth. Man, I forgot how sloppy she can get.
"My dad got a hold of me and locked me up for a while. As soon as I got back on mainland, I was captured and forced to become a guard. Haha, now I can cast light and control minds." I chuckle, then moan with irritation. "I don't know what my third star is for. The demon never told me what it was. G-G still won't tell me shit." I grunt, recalling the animate stuffed creature. He teases me when he decides not to cowar around me. Ugh. I hate that asshole.
"You named your demons? What the- Why? Every other scyra I've met hates their demons so much that they don't even speak to them." Lucy questions my ability to face my demons. I shrug, not really knowing why I can speak to them so easily. But just because they're easy to talk to doesn't mean I'm not afraid of them or don't hate them. I would get rid of them as soon as I had the chance.
"I dunno. I hate their spooky-awful guts but I can approach them I guess. The only one I remotely like is the one I named after you." I explain, Lucy blinks and frowns. "She's pretty cool, she abandons her demon-duties or whatever so that she can actually help me with shit. I haven't seen any of my demons in months though. I might've scared them off on accident." I rub the back of my neck, laughing nervously as I recall when I physically hurt Light. I don't know how, but that cloud thing screeched before dragging Lucy, the demon, and G-G away from me.
