Chapter 3

                                    

                                          
Waking up that morning I could tell that Hailey had left at some point after we had slept together. I rolled over on my side and saw that there was a letter sitting on top of the pillow that was beside me. I picked it up and read what it said.
                          
"Dear, Draco.
                          
I am sorry that I had to leave you. I really wish that I didn't have to though. But, sadly. I had to go to work this morning. I know it's a drag. But, I don't won't to lose contact with you after such a wonderful night that we had together. So, I'm going to do you a solid and leave you my number. It's (747)-912-3472. You can call or text me if you like I don't mind.
                          
Love ya, Hailey."
                          
I smiled after I had read what she had wrote me. But, I also wondered how the hell did she get home after I passed out last after we had sex. Rolling back over to my side of the bed with letter in hand I looked over at the digital alarm clock that was sitting on my nightstand and saw that it was ten o'clock. I knew that I needed to hurry up and get out of bed because if I didn't then I knew that Aleksei would have my hide. 
                          
Quickly, I threw the quilt and sheets off my body and placed Hailey's note onto my nightstand, walked into my bathroom and closed the door behind me. I turned on the shower and made sure that to have the water as hot as I could get it. As I stood there in front of my bathroom mirror I admired several of the tattoos that I had that were on my neck.
                          
Each tattoo meant something different for me and the huge cross tattoo that had on my back that had a snake wrapped around it was a memorial for my mother. It was my most prized tattoo and the first one that I ever got. As I stood there for a few more minutes I rubbed my calloused tattooed hand on my face and felt the five o'clock shadow that was growing on my face. I knew that I needed a shave. So, I quickly jumped into the heated shower and quickly bathed.
                          
Once I had got out I quickly turned the hot water off and grabbed a towel from the towel rack in my bathroom and quickly dried off. After I had dried off and went over to my bathroom counter and shaved my face. I wrapped my towel around the lower half of my body and opened the bathroom door and went into my room and changed into a clean black suit and tie. Once completely dressed, I grabbed Hailey's letter and took it with me to the kitchen where I quickly added Hailey's number to my contacts while I waited on my cup of coffee to finish brewing.
                          
With my coffee finished brewing, I put a lid on the travel cup and walked out the door, locking it behind me. I quickly got into my car and drove off to the strip club so that I could get those papers signed before the real estate agent came by to get them.
                          
Once I arrived at the club, I pulled into a parking space and got out with coffee in hand and locked my car and walked into the club. As soon as I walked inside I saw several of the group members walking around doing several things that needed to be done before we started up for tonight. I waved at Joann who was working behind the bar getting it ready for her patrons.
                          
As soon as I got to where the elevator was I pressed the up button and waited for the elevator to arrive. As I waited I took a drink of the hot, bitter liquid. When I heard the elevator ding and watched it open, I quickly got inside and pressed the up button again. I watched as the doors closed and rode the short ride up to my office.
                          
Once the elevator arrived and the doors opened, I quickly got out and walked to my office and went inside. As I placed my jacket onto the coat rack I called out to Aleksei. "Hey, Aleksei! I'm here. Now, where the fuck are you?"
                          
The baritone sound of my voice came back to me as mostly an echo as I now realized that I was the only one that was in my office. I figured that something must have happened at his house. So, I figured that I would wait and call him later if he didn't show up by at least twelve.
