Scott's POV
Neverland is definitely not like the one portrayed in the Disney version of Peter Pan. It's so eerie and dark that you just never know what occurs in the dark woods.
Luckily for me, I have strong senses so I have the advantage than most people that are in Neverland. Being a werewolf comes in handy sometimes.
My lovely girlfriend was somewhere in the island attending her duties. She told me that it would quick so I didn't waste time wanting to plan a surprise for her. A surprise that would definitely declare that I'm a great boyfriend to her and good enough for Petra.
It's sad to say that I haven't seen Pan around. He doesn't appear out of nowhere like he usually does and it concerns me. Pan can be a nice guy when he wants to, but it's dangerous for him to be alone. You just never know what he is planning.
I was currently making my way towards camp after I have gathered some colorful flowers for Petra from the flower valley not far from here. I couldn't wait to surprise my girlfriend because her smile made my heart flutter.
When I saw the familiar scattered tents nearby, I knew that I was almost to camp.
" Listen closely. " , I heard Victor's voice spoke.
Victor York.
That boy is very suspicious, so I make sure that I watch him closely. I know it was stupid of me to handle over the job to him without Pan's permission, but I didn't have many options. I visit Neverland to be with my girlfriend, not lead a bunch of boys.
" There are going to be some new rules in this camp. You will discard all of Pan's stupid rules and learn my rules. " , Victor said sternly. " I'm your new leader, whether you like it or not. "
I hid carefully in the shadows with the flowers in my hands. Victor's back was turned against me. The lost boys scattered around the camp with their attention towards Victor. Some lost boys were scared, but some were curious.
One of the lost boys raised their hands. I think his name was Parker.
" Does Pan know that you took over? " , Parker asked.
Suddenly, Parker's body was dangling in the air with his arms around his neck. His face not looking so well.
" Pan isn't apart of this anymore. " , Victor said darkly before throwing the boy onto the ground.
The youngest lost boy raised his name.
" But this is Pan's island. Neverland is under Pan's control and we, the lost boys, are loyal to Pan. " , Tootles nodded.
Victor made a hand gesture and Tootles cried out in pain after he was thrown against a tree.
I clenched my fist slightly quickly discarding the flowers. How dare he hurt those boys because they asked simple questions?
The lost boys around helped out Tootles and Parker before looking at Victor. Some of them pulled out their weapons for defense.
" I dare you to make any move. If you do it will be your last move that you make. " , Victor threatened.
" You need to leave. " , Felix spoke up. " Better leave before Pan finds out that you harassed his two lost boys. "
" Pan won't find out anything! He doesn't care. His name is dead in this camp and around this island. I'm the new leader and Neverland belongs to me now. " , Victor stated.
" You can't take away Pan's friends or his pride in Neverland. When Pan realizes that you are messing with us, then he will destroy you! " , Felix snapped.
" I'm not scared of a smug teenager. " , Victor smirked.
" You should be. Pan's shadow will never allow you to take over this island. There are way too many allies that Pan has to take you down. " , Parker sneered.
" Sure. Pan may have his friends and his stupid lost boys as his allies, but it doesn't matter because Pan is gone. You all broke his dear heart by praising Scotty's leadership instead of Pan's. " , Victor darkly chuckled. " It isn't that hard to turn someone against Pan. "
" Your plan will never work. " , Felix scoffed.
" My plan has just begun to work. ", Victor smirked.
" You are evil! " , Tootles accused.
" So is Pan. There is no difference. " , Victor rolled his eyes.
" Well Pan is more powerful than you! " , Devin exclaimed. " And he is a lot smarter than you. "
" I'm sure Pan has many good things about him, it's just that he is a terrible leader. And of course, I'm not the only one who thinks that. " , Victor smirked.
" Pan is the best leader ever. " , all of the lost boys said.
" Then why would he resign? " , Victor asked them
The lost boys stayed quiet in response not knowing what to say.
" He resigned because he believed that he wasn't a good leader. He got tired of his sister, his girlfriend, and his friends complaining about his awful leadership skills that he decided to give it up. " , Victor explained.
I frowned knowing that it was probably how Pan felt anyway. I guess have I been sorta harsh on him because of how cruel I felt his leadership was and I'm sure Petra and Rae have spoken out against his leadership too.
I saw the lost boys staying quiet.
" Now let's all say that I'm your new leader and that you all are under my command now. " , Victor smirked.
The lost boys nodded, but Felix glared at Victor and shook his head in disapproval.
Victor was planning something. He planned on changing things in Neverland and getting rid of Pan's name in this island. I knew that I had to inform Pan himself.
Because now he was everyone's only hope for this island's survival.
