i've been chanting these words all day long but i can't still think or even imagine where chunhua is
"don't you have any new visions?" bu fan asked, munching on some biscuits
i shook my head, "surprisingly, none. how about you?"
bu fan shrugged as yue yue rolled his eyes, "both of you are useless!"
"you're useless too, ge" ling chao stated as he dropped his backpack on the couch
yue yue glared at the youngest and cracked his knuckles, "what did you say?"
ling chao rolled his eyes, "nothing, i'm sorry. i'm too stressed for today"
ling chao went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, only to get some candies before going back to us
"AHA!" bu fan suddenly screamed, "i think i found it"
"found what?" yue yue asked, "you're not a gps, you can only predict"
bu fan shook his head, "i predicted she'll be coming home tonight but with a different attitude and personality"
i squinted my eyes to him, "as if she's not the Li Chunhua we knew?"
bu fan snapped his fingers, "EXACTLY!"
ling chao pouted, "how about me? she'll be acting like she's not my twin sister?"
bu fan patted the youngest's shoulder, "blood is still thicker than water, it's either she will be the same on you but not on everyone else or you'll have the great effect on bringing her back to normal"
yue yue nodded as he clapped, "i therefore conclude that i'm dumb. didi, you'll have your new pack of candies tomorrow"

i flinched by the scream of my older sister, i immediately went out of my room and saw my parents dying infront of my eyes
someone unknown grabbed my older sister's hair, a knife pointed at her neck as he looked straight into my eyes
"son, you need to go!" my mom screamed before someone behind her finished her off
i was too coward to fight back, i quickly ran hoping those guys won't follow me
i don't know where my feet wants me to go, i just let my destiny control over me
i keep running and running as i past by a familiar place, i wasn't able to go here before but this is just too familiar
i saw a gold name plate by the door, "Zhang" is written on it
"this is my family's place?" i asked myself as i was about to knock but someone from the inside opened it
he gasped, "the child is here"
few family members gathered around us, holding torches with them, he turned his gaze around the place before letting me enter the compound
that guy was my uncle, Zhang Yixing

"wasn't it too young for him to acquire that power?"
"i'm not lying about what i recently saw, it was from him!"
"don't you think the prophecy came true?"
i overhead the adults talking about me, i slowly move my body near the door to hear more
"i thought the chosen one will be from the Li's? why is it us?"
"don't you like it? it's a blessing!"
"but we are prohibited to have the chosen one from our family! we need to kill yankai!"
i was taken aback from what i heard. they won't kill me, right? i can stop the powers from coming
someone sighed, i peeked behind the door and saw my uncle on his usual table, "we will not kill him but we should send him off"
"what are you talking about?" my fat aunt asked, munching on some foods infront of her
"he's not the one, he is the cu-" my uncle's words were cutted off by a loud sound
my older cousins immediately went out of their rooms to find out where the sound came from
my aunts and uncles went out from the meeting office too, uncle yixing glared at me, "you need to go, now"
i titled my head, "where?"
"at the pal-" once again, it was cutted off when one of my cousin screamed, the next thing we saw are blood all over the place
my family members pulled out their weapons, and started killing off the enemies that invaded our compound
i looked around the place, dumbfounded. fear once again took over my soul, i can't fight back
i want to mutter some words i learned from my uncle's book before but i can't remember anything
instead, i picked up a weapon from the ground. i was about to kill an enemy when someone injected something on my back
"STOP THE FIGHT! WE JUST NEED THIS CHILD!", this is the last thing i heard from the guy behind me as he dragged my defenseless body

"yankai!" an unknown person continuously slapping my cheeks, "yankai, you're dreaming. wake up!"
i slowly opened my eyes and saw a figure of a huba in human form, "oh jie-ge! what do you need?"
i sit up from the couch and rubbed my eyes, "you've been chanting some weird words earlier. anyways, give this to her. she'll be needing some food"
jie-ge pointed the food tray on the table, "there's no poison, i promise"
i nodded as jie-ge stood up and went near the door, "i'll follow gui and yanchen at the club, please look after her"
he went out of the house as i picked up the food tray together with the keys, i quickly went to where she is
"hey? are you awake?" i slowly opened the door as i saw her sitting comfortably on her pink bed
she turned off the tv and nodded, "um look, i brought you food"
i approached her as i placed the food tray on the table, i gasped when i saw the wounds on her face
"what happened to you? what did jie-ge had done to you?"
she rolled her eyes, "don't ask about it"
"did you do that thing?- AW!" she suddenly smacked my head, "i have the right to remain silent"
i chuckled, "well okay, here's the food. i'll bring you home tonight"
she dropped her jaw as she clapped like a seal, "really? you're not joking, are you?"
i nodded, "just don't tell my older brothers that i let you off, i'm going to tell them you escaped"
chunhua hugged me tightly as she cried on my shoulders, "you're the best!"
