Mia thought this was going to be her one holiday where she could forget about all her problems. But it turns out to be the opposite...
She is about to spend two whole weeks on a luxurious cruise ship with the company of her mum and her close friends...
I could still feel the pain from the punch and the slap. I started to regret everything. If I didn't kick him in the nuts the other day, this wouldn't have happened. But I guess Tommy would have done something like this eventually.
I sat down on my chair and sighed. Chloe was still next to me and Finn sat on my left with Luke next to him.
"Wow Mia," Chloe said as she turned to me. "What happened to your eye? It's looks almost purple."
Shit. Shitshitshitshitshitshit. I forgot about that.
"Oh," I laughed. "I um, I banged into the door." I said nodding.
Wow Mia, that's such a great excuse.
I saw in the corner of my eye that Finn was looking over at us. I couldn't see Luke though, he wasn't paying attention.
"Aw Mia you clutz." She laughed. I just laughed along with her and looked out onto the ocean.
"Chloe come in with me!" Luke shouted before jumping into the pool.
I glanced over at Finn to see him looking at me worried.
Finn's POV
I know what happened. But I needed to find out what really went on.
"What happened?" I asked and turned around to face her.
She did the same. Mia looked out onto the ocean then back to face me. "Tommy saw me so he pulled me aside, punched me, slapped me, choked me, then I got away." She said quickly.
I looked at her and just thought about how Mia wouldn't even be in this mess if I didn't get sucked into joining his stupid gang. I've been kicking myself ever since Tommy approached Mia on the first night here.
"Are you okay?" I asked with a worried look on my face.
"Yeah." She smiled softly at me. Yet again, my stomach did a flip. I don't know why that always happens. It's always when I'm around her.
Then she touched around her purple eye. "Does it look bad?" She squinted her eyes.
"No, not really. I can barely notice it."
Then she grabbed her sunglasses and put them on. "There we go." She laughed.
I chuckled. "Good thinking."
"Oh Finn, look at this." She stood up and walked behind the chairs.
I followed and stood beside her. I could see her smirking. But before I knew it, I was pushed into the water.
Mia's POV
It's been a few hours since we got back from the pool, and I've changed into something cooler than before. It was a blue and white crop top with a small denim skirt.
