sua cara - major lazer x anitta x pabllo vittar
☽
"j-jaemin! get up!" jeno whisper-yelled, the roaring lighting and thunder rolling in on the city of seoul scaring the literal hell out of the older.
he's always had a fear of thunderstorms and heavy rain he got when he was a child. on a very rainy day, the back then seven-year old jeno was playing in puddles of water in front of his home, when a car suddenly lost control and swerved right onto the spot he was playing on.
it missed him by only a few, deadly centimeters, and if he hadn't moved away in that spilt second he saw the headlight of the car, he would've died.
since the near-death experience, jeno's been traumatized. on days where it rained this much, or in general, he'd lock himself in his house and curl up into a ball in his bed because the sounds brought him bad memories.
but right now he was clinging onto the sleeping jaemin like his life depended on it. the younger stirred as he felt jeno's relentless tugging on the hoodie he was wearing.
"w-what is it?" jaemin groaned, still half asleep as he slowly opened his eyes. however, when he heard jeno's weak crying, he shot up quicker than ever.
"hey, what's wrong?" the younger questioned, pulling jeno closer towards him. "jeno? are you okay?"
"i-i-i-" before the older would finish his sentence, an alarmingly loud thunder crack struck outside. and of course, that caused jeno to cry out a little louder and cling tighter onto jaemin.
with the reaction jeno had towards the outside storm, the younger quickly pieced together that he was probably afraid of storms and the loud sounds this kind of weather made.
jaemin couldn't help but find that adorable, even though in the moment it seemed like jeno was really panicked.
he picked the older and walked to his room, since they had crashed on the couch earlier that day.
the younger tried to turn on the lights of his room, but they didn't work, so he assumed the power went out. well, that was no help. the noise outside was intensifying greatly, and all jaemin could do at the moment was just hug jeno until an idea came up in his head.
it was always jaemin's best source of comfort when he was alone, and it always put him in a better mood.
music.
the younger grabbed his earphones from off his nightstand and connected them to his phone, putting them on each of jeno's ears. he started up a playlist on some of his most favorite songs, which included artists like stray kids, dean, and shinee. he set the volume up high enough in order to drown out the outside noises.
and within an instant, jeno erratic breathing had calmed down.
the older couldn't believe how simple the idea was, and how he didn't realize it before. yet, he didn't really care.
he nuzzled himself closer into jaemin and closed his eyes as the younger took charge of the situation, playing with jeno's hair and planting sweet butterfly kisses over his face gently.
for jeno, there wasn't a single way for him to tell how much he adored what jaemin did for him in the moment.
the older started to feel truly loved around jaemin, and he very much liked that fact.
it was a sort of a win-win situation, seeing as how jaemin actually liked the rain sounds, so he didn't have a problem with them.
in no time, the older was peacefully asleep in jaemin's warm arms. jaemin had gotten a mostly static phone call from his mother, telling him that she was going to stay at a friend's house closer to where she worked because the rain was too heavy to drive in.
that just meant both boys had each other for the night.
the younger got up and draped a big fuzzy blanket he had in his closet over both jeno and him, before taking his boyfriend back into his arms and drifting off to sleep with him.
