DST 2: ch 24
Cam coached me through my melt down a week ago. I still refuse to go see Drake even when he asks for me. I can't bring myself to look him in the eyes yet. The guys won't tell me if he knew who I was before or not, which makes me lean towards they know. They knew the whole time that he knew who my father was.
"Lynds?" I look up to Bianca. I'm in the hospital right now holding little Travis.
"Yeah?" She frowns at me before sighing and taking the seat on the couch next to me.
"How are you holding up?" I look back to Travis giving him a small smile as he grins at me making noises. As if he is talking to me.
"I'm okay, I guess." I shrug.
"Otay." Travis repeats making my smile grow. Bianca chuckles at him before focusing back on me.
"What's going on in that head?" She asks. I glance to her knowing she isn't going to let it go.
"I think Drake only talked to me to get at my father." She ponders that as I look to her.
"Even if he did that was then. When he looks at you now it's only filled with love. His eyes shine the brightest I've ever seen." She tells me. I raise an eyebrow at her before looking back to Travis, who yawns. I hold him close to me letting him rest his eyes as he leans against me.
"I want to believe that, but I'm always going to have that voice in the back of my head. The one telling me it's a scam."
"I know how you feel, well somewhat know." She sighs. I raise an eyebrow at her waiting for her to continue talking. "When I starting dating Blake I knew everything felt so right, but that voice in the back of my head kept telling me to get away."
"But, you listened to that voice. When Travis came into the picture." She sighs nodding her head.
"Yes, I did. And I regret it one hundred percent. That voice was wrong. It was only my nerves." She says trying to make a point.
"So, you're telling me..." I trail off unsure.
"That you should talk to him to put your worried thoughts to rest. To prove that it's just the nervousness talking." I bite my lip looking down to Travis as I think about it. Maybe she is right, but what if she is wrong? I let out a big long sigh when my mind is made up.
"I guess it's time to talk to Drake."
"Finally." Blake says coming into the room. He reaches for Travis, and takes him gently. I smile at that, and I look to see Bianca smiling too. Her eyes brightening up at the sight of the ones she loves together.
"How long were you there for?" I ask him standing up. Blake looks to me chuckling as Travis cozies into his father's chest.
"Just the last bit. Please go to him. He's threatening to get up and find you himself." I roll my eyes hearing that. Guess Drake hasn't changed.
"Of course he does." I breathe out before heading to the door. "See you two later." I wave at them before walking out. Dreading the conversation that needs to happen, and dreading the scene that I will come across.

I walk towards his room seeing his most trusted men all throughout the house. Each giving me the look of 'get your ass in there'. I sigh rolling my eyes at them as I reach his door. Just as I'm about to go in Tyson yells from within the room. He rips the door open his eyes landing on me just as he was about to plow me over.
