Alex looked at Joe her eyes widened, "you know me?"
Her heart was racing as she said this, all she needed was one person, just someone who could help her retrieve her memories back.

Joe looked hesitant, unsure of what to say next.
He looked at Alexis, she looked desperate and he knew he wasn't going to let her go again.
He nodded.

He stepped closer towards her making her flinch.

"How do you know me."

I'm sorry that i'm going to lie to you.....again.

" I'm a private detective trying to solve your case and seeing you cry like that made me want to help you , so please let me help you."

Alexis didn't feel like she knew what was going on anymore.

Reluctantly she agreed.

Joe reached into his pocket to get a pen taking her hand wrote his number, sending a tingle through her.
she blushed and Joe noticed this and quickly let go of her hand.

"Call me if you ever need my help." He stuttered and walked off, stumbling on the pavement but getting up as quick as possible.

After some time Alexis reached her house , "it is only morning and a lot had happened to in such short time." she thought to herself.

She remembered what Joe had said but she felt something was wrong.
"Who is he, she didn't even know who he was. is he really trying to help her?"
But somewhere in her mind she felt like there was a connection between them, something that was forgotten.
"But for now he is the only person who could help her."

She went over to the balcony and looked out at the view of the river thames.
It was flowing gently, small ripples forming as tiny drops of rain slowly drizzled down onto it.
Many people walking on the streets got out their umbrella, all dull in colour, black, grey, navy blue.

Suddenly the phone rang.

She picked it up to the sound of a raspy voice.

"Well, well, Alexis its being so long since we have talked."
Her heart stopped beating, she had a feeling she knew who it was.
He carried on "I guess you are really worried right about now, but don't worry I assure you a slow death,
like the one I gave to your best friend."
A chuckle was let out at the other end.

"What do you want with me?" Alexis asked.

" now we are talking, little alexis, all i want from you the thing you took from me, The diary."
Alexis hadn't got a clue what he was talking about.

" so how about we play a game then, he continued, if you could find me before, I get the diary , you win, but if i get the diary
before you..... let's just say the game is over.

" So how about it?"
Alexis didn't dare say a word.

"Well then i would take that as a yes."
He laughed loudly on the other end. It was a laugh filled with hatred.
"Cause in this game only one would survive, its either me or you."

Alexis cut the call immediately.

Her body shivered in fear, goosebumps covered her hand, the hair on the back of neck was now standing.
Her knee felt weak as she fell onto the ground.

She looked at her hand where Joe had written his number.

He is the only one who could help me, help me find out who I really was.

I would not let you win that easily, cause the game has only just began.
