Riley's POV

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Ugh! Shut up!" I groan, slamming my fist into my alarm clock. I trudge out of bed and get dressed for dance. James had practice early this morning with Beth, and was still at the studio now, so I've got to walk today.

I guess I could ask Charlie for a ride...

No! I can't! And I'm still mad about yesterday. I'll just walk. In the rain.

I grab an apple as I run out the door, pull my hood up as I begin to fast walk to the studio. I hear my phone beep over the pelting rain and pull it out of my coat pocket.

CHARLIE-Hey, do you need a ride to the studio?

Tempting, yes, but I wasn't almost there already. Or like halfway there. Or a quarter. Okay, I'm only five minutes away from my house, making it a half hour to the studio.

RILEY-Do you mind giving me a ride?

CHARLIE-Sure! Ill be there in a few minutes!

I stood back and waited for about two minutes in te rain until I see Charlie's car stop in front of me. I quickly climb into the warm heated car, shutting out the cold, rainy day.

"Thank you!" I exclaim, moving closer to the heat.

"No problem." He laughs. He notices my shivering. "Do you need my jacket? You look really cold!"

"Ye...Um, no thanks. That's fine." I stammer.

"Are you sure about that?" He chuckles.

"Yes, I'm sure." I respond. He rolls his eyes and takes his jacket off anyway, putting it over my shoulders. I blush.

"I said I didn't need it." I mutter.

"Your a bad liar Riles." He laughs. I shift uncomfortably. Only James calls me that, and Charlie knows that. I shrug the jacket off and hand it back to him.

"I don't need it." I say sharply. He rolls his eyes and takes it back.

"Your a hard case Riley." He jokes. I cross my arms and stare out the window.
