Ch. 98

                                    

                                          
    We all headed out as soon as it was daylight, Mark left a note that we all went to the mall for their parents. We didn't bother taking a car since we all wanted some fresh air, and now we were all just walking down the sidewalk. A group of happy teens living their life. I look over at Mark. 
    "So what have you been doing all this time? Summer break has started a month ago." 
    "Not much." He replies. "All I've been doing is getting high scores on video games and playing horror games. I really need to head out more with you all a lot." 
    We all laugh at his remark, "Maybe we could do this all again sometime?" I suggest, looking at Mac and Ace for nods of agreement. 
    "Yeah sure, maybe we could all have lunch tomorrow or something?" Ace asks, bringing up more suggestions of how we should hang out and what time. "We don't even need to eat anything. We could just all walk around down town or watch a movie in the theater." Mac says. 
    I smile, "Yeah, those aren't bad ideas. We could do all that sometime. Oh, and we can all watch Mark fail at Pacman too!" I joke around, embarrassing my best friend. 
    "Hey! At least I know how to play it!" Mark says as his brothers laugh at him. "Even I'm better than you and I'm not even a video game person." Says Mac as he playfully hits his brother in the rib. 
    "Abuse! That's brother abuse!" Mark starts shouting down the road while Mac tries to cover his mouth. He can't really accomplish that goal since Mark is way taller than him. Like a foot and a half... something like that. Mac is a tiny little red haired bean, he may be a little tiny bit taller than me but that doesn't bug anyone, Ace just makes fun of him for it- in a nice way. 
    "So what store are we going to first again?" Ace asks we start to see the mall. 
    "GAMÉSTAP!" Mark shouts. (Had to change the store name lmao) Ace, Mac, and I all jump and start to laugh, "Well, if you say so. Oh, didn't you want to get that new game?" I ask, Mark replied with a yes. 
    "Oh should we also get lunch too? Later though since it's only 10:30." Mac asks as we reach the building. "Sure, that's a great idea." Ace replies as he holds the door for all of us. "Isn't gamèstap by the food court?" 
    "It sure is." Mark smiles and the first store that was there was a candy shop. "OH!" Ace shouts and sprints to the window to look at all the sweets. "I'm going to buy diabetes, I'll be right back." 
    "Can I go with you?" Mac asks, Ace nods. "You two go look for that game." Mac says after he turns around with Ace and walks into the candy shop. I give them a thumbs up and Mark and I begin to walk. 
    "So I was thinking... we should buy a ouija board and play it in the woods tonight!" Mark shouts. "What?!" I look at him in disbelief. "Do you know how dangerous those are? What if we contact Zozo or literally just any other ghost? Do you know how dangerous it will be if one of us gets possessed? What if all of us get possessed? What do we do if someone dies?!" 
    Mark puts a hand on my shoulder and tries to calm me down. "Shh y/n don't worry! I'll make sure that doesn't happen to any of us. And if it does, I'll be the one saving them! Don't worry, I have it all under control! I hear there's a creepy mansion in those woods too! Maybe we could go do it there or something?" 
    A shiver runs down my spine. Mark doesn't know that mansion is my home. What do I do?! A freaking ouija board?! I need help. 
    "Mark, what if something bad happens?" I ask, and he suddenly puts a silencing finger to my lips. "Shhhh. What did I say about that already." He snickers and puts a hand over my shoulder, squeezing me tight. "I have it all under control." He says reassuringly.
    We pass by some other stores until we see the food court, and I look at some windows while we walk. "There's gamèstap!" Mark laughs and grabs my hand, we were fast walking through the people and while doing that, I look into a soap store, then a toy store, then a jewelry store for one quick second.
