"And when the door opened, he wasn't scared anymore"

--

"Jeonghan?"

Jeonghan was standing in front of the doorstep, his eyes glued to Seungcheol's. The older looked tired, he looked broken, and it was all Jeonghan's fault. He had run away. He had abandoned him.

The younger was left speechless at the sight of Seungcheol, he didn't think he'd see him again, so instead of speaking useless words, he immediately embraced him.

It caught the older by surprise, but he still wrapped his arms around Jeonghan protectively, his chin resting on top of Jeonghan's head. Jeonghan hugged him as tightly as he could, making sure he wasn't a dream.

"I missed you"

He muttered against Seungcheol's shirt, hiding his face away from him.
Jeonghan couldn't see it, but tears started welling up in Seungcheol's eyes. The thought of having hurt Jeonghan with that kiss... As much as he wanted to, he shouldn't have done it. Seungcheol thought he'd lost Jeonghan forever.

"I'm sorry"

Seungcheol said, his voice barely audible. He was shaking against Jeonghan's body, and the younger hugged him even tighter. He looked up at him and dried his tears with the back of his hands.

"You didn't do anything wrong, I should be sorry. I'm so sorry Seungcheol"

Jeonghan spoke, his hands trembling slightly.

"I shouldn't have... I shouldn't have kissed you"

Seungcheol whispered, hiding his face once again and sobbing loudly. Jeonghan felt his heart break into a million pieces.

"I mean... You just broke up with your boyfriend and, fuck Jeonghan, I wanted to... But I shouldn't have and I'm so sorry"

Seungcheol apologized once again, gripping Jeonghan's waist tightly.

"He hurt you... A-and you weren't ready... And you probably don't even like me like that... And I'm just so so-"

Jeonghan pressed his lips on Seungcheol's, shutting him up. The older was confused to say the least. His mind was telling him to pull back from the kiss, but his body wouldn't let him.
Jeonghan tangled his hands on Seungcheol's hair as they kissed, and Seungcheol hugged the younger's waist. It was different than their first kiss. It was needy and messy but still passionate, and Seungcheol never wanted it to end. Jeonghan's tongue slipped into Seungcheol's mouth, and Seungcheol swore he'd never been happier. As they kissed, he felt at home once again.

Jeonghan finally pulled back as the both of them were running out of air. They stared at each other in awe, and their lips met once again for a small kiss. It was sweet and loving, and Seungcheol could've died right there and then, in Jeonghan's arms, and he wouldn't have minded.

"Are you sure you want this?"

Seungcheol whispered, not wanting to make Jeonghan uncomfortable. The younger just smiled and pecked Seungcheol's lips, grabbing the sides of his face.

"You're not him. I trust you"

He spoke, burying his head on Seungcheol's shirt.

They stayed like that for a while, hugging in front of the doorstep, comfortable silence filling the air. They didn't want to break apart, but Jeonghan was brought back to reality when his phone rang.

"Just a second"

He said to Seungcheol, unwrapping himself from him.

"Hello?"
