"You're welcome, now get out so I can get ready." He nodded, running out of the room happily. Ty had told Beth that the party was a bonfire at the guy's cabin, so she wore ripped black skinny jeans, a pink tank top with a white lace shirt over it and her pink studded Converse. She figured if she got cold she could do the cliche thing of stealing her boyfriend's sweatshirt. After redoing her makeup and putting her hair in a fishtail braid, she was ready.
When she got downstairs, she saw Tanner and Ty talking. Ty looked slightly nervous and Tanner, well, angry. "So I take it he knows?" Beth asked, crossing her arms and laughing.
"Oh, he knows," Ty muttered, standing up. "You look beautiful." She grinned, and went to pull him in for a kiss, when he stopped her. "Your brother..." he sighed and she grinned. It was cute he was worried about what he brother thought.
"We'll be back later," she told her brother vaguely.
He narrowed his eyes, but didn't say anything against it, just, "Be careful. Don't do anything stupid."
"Okay, love you."
Once they got out of the house, Ty gripped her waist and pulled Beth against him. "You really look amazing tonight," he muttered in her ear, causing her to blush. He grinned when he saw the effect on her and pressed his lips to hers. "Now, let's go to this party."
She sighed nervously, grabbing his hand as he led her to his car. When they got to the party, Beth immediately felt cold and Ty laughed. "I knew this was going to happen," he said knowingly, taking off his sweatshirt and giving it to her. She grinned and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks babe," she laughed, pulling on the sweatshirt that went down past her butt and she had to roll up the sleeves with.
When they got to the party, the host immediately greeted Ty. "Hey, man! It's been a while. Too whipped by your new girlfriend to come hang out with the guys anymore?"
Ty laughed. "Just said by the guy who can't get any action."
"Ouch. So, I have to ask, have you two kids done the deed between the sheets yet?" He let out a groan as Ty punched him in the stomach.
"Just, learn when to shut up, man," Ty growled and for a moment Beth thought the guy was going to fight back, but he just laughed, standing up straighter.
"Sorry, man."
"Come on, Beth," Ty said, leading her to the drink table. There were two separate coolers, one labeled "soda" and one labeled "beer", and Ty went into the soda one, grabbing them each a Coke. "Sorry about him," he finally said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly, "He's even worse when he's drunk." She laughed, grabbing his face in her hands and pressing her lips to his.
"Wow!" they heard a voice from right by them, "PDA. Didn't think that innocent little Beth would like that." Ty groaned, and they both turned to face the girl that almost ruined their friendship before.
"Hello, Natalie," Ty said stiffly and she smiled a sarcastically sweet smile. Natalie had already become the cliche queen bitch of the school, with her cronies that followed her around everywhere. She got everything she wanted. Well, except Ty, that is.
"Hey, Ty. Hello Beth. Enjoying the party?"
"We just got here," Beth stated shortly. Both she and Ty just wanted to leave the conversation.
"Oh! Well, it's great so far. I have to go, but I'm sure that I'll talk to you guys later!" She waved to them, before walking off with her two pets. All three were wearing far too little clothes for the cold night, just to impress the brainless jocks.
"That's not suspicious," Beth laughed and Ty rolled his eyes.
"She doesn't matter. We're going to have fun tonight, okay babe?"
"Yes sir!" she said, saluting him mockingly. For a while, they sat by the fire on a blanket with Ty's arm around her and her leaning into him. Then, the guys wanted to play a game of football.
At first, Ty tried to deny them, but Beth told him he should go and have fun and he finally agreed. She regretted it almost immediately when she realized she was surrounded by wasted girls who decided to start talking about boys. She wasn't paying attention at first, until she heard, "What about Ty?"
Beth's head snapped up and she looked over at who said that, Natalie. "So good in bed!" one of the girls burst out, almost falling out of her chair.
"Really?" Natalie asked, "I guess he's gotten better since I deflowered him."
Beth quietly stood up, not trying to cause a scene but also wanting to get out of there over to get another Coke, when she felt someone standing by her and she really hoped it wasn't who she thought it was.
But luck was not on her side that night.
"Did that conversation get a little too real?" a mocking voice said above her. She frowned, standing up to be face to face with Natalie.
"I came to get a drink," Beth said simply, showing her the can of pop.
"Don't pretend you didn't hear what we were talking about, Beth. Aren't you upset that I'm the one who took Ty's innocence?"
"He's with me now, not you."
"Probably not for long. We all know how guys are. He may like you now, but give it a couple months. He'll get bored of you eventually." After saying what she knew would get to Beth, she walked away.
As much as Beth didn't want to be there, she knew she couldn't just ask Ty to leave. So instead, she went and sat on the hood of his car, trying not to let what Natalie said get to her.
"Okay, what'd she say to you?" Beth almost fell off Ty's car when she heard his voice, and then forced out a laugh.
"Jeez, you scared me. And what are you talking about?"
"Come on, Beth. I know you. And I know the bitch said something that got to you." She knew she couldn't lie to Ty, so she told him what happened. "You don't think that's true, do you?" She just shrugged, looking down at her feet. "Beth," Ty said, stepping up to her, "yes, I was a moron before I met you. I had no idea how to date so I pretty much just slept around, and Natalie was the first one that would sleep with me, so I took it. But I don't care about them anymore. I care about you."
"But I can't do the things that other girls would do with you. I'm the most inexperienced person when it comes to sex. What if I'm not enough for you?"
He laughed slightly, stepping closer to her. "Beth, with you I don't care about that stuff. You'll always be more than enough for me."
She smiled, pulling him in for a kiss. "How did I get a guy like you?"
"By being the best girl that I know." She blushed, looking down at the ground. He grabbed her chin, making her look up at him, and pressed his lips to hers. The kiss started out slow and gentle, but soon got more intense, with him putting his hands on her waist and pulling her closer as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He licked her lip carefully and she slowly opened her mouth. He pulled away, kissing down her jawline and neck, and then moving the sweatshirt out of the way to kiss her collarbone, causing her to moan and he chuckled, pulling away. "We should probably stop," he said, his breathing heavy. "And we can leave if you want."
"No," she said quickly, "I'm not letting her have the satisfaction. Let's go back."
"That's my girl," he chuckled, and they walked back to the party with his arm wrapped around her waist.
