*Chapter Seventeen: The Bonfire*

Beth was hiding from Ty.

She knew that it wasn't the most mature thing to do, but she had told him she loved him on accident and then hung up. She maybe made the most idiotic mistake she could make. Her and Ty had only been dating for a little while, so she should not have said that.

"You know, avoiding him is only going to make it worse," Abbie laughed as Beth started heading into the bathroom for lunch.

She narrowed her eyes at her best friend, "Shut up," she muttered, walking in and hiding in a stall.

Ty raised an eyebrow when Abbie walked up to the lunch table without Beth. "Hiding from me in the bathroom?" he asked and Abbie laughed.

"You know your girlfriend well, my friend."

"I'm going to go see if I can talk to her," he said standing up.

"Beth, I swear if you don't come out of this bathroom I'm coming in!" Ty had been trying to get her out for five minutes and she refused, so he was resorting to this. When she didn't answer again, he groaned and walked into the bathroom. Thankfully, there was no other girl in it at that moment. "Beth, come on," he muttered, sitting outside of the stall she was in, "One of the points of us dating was so that you would stop avoiding me."

"I can't believe you came into the girl's restroom," she finally muttered and he smiled.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures. Now are you going to talk to me?"

"I said I love you! I didn't even mean to, I'm so embarrassed!"

He laughed out loud, making Beth even more embarrassed. "That's why you're avoiding me?" he finally said, "Beth! It's okay! I'm not freaked out. You were my best friend before you were my girlfriend, of course we love each other."

"Really?"

"Yes! Beth, it's going to take a lot more to scare me away. I mean, you have five scary big brothers and a twenty-one year old ex boy toy and I'm still here. You do have these weird little quirks but that's what I love about you. Now will you please come out of the stall?"

He grinned when she finally stepped out of it, and he wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up. "I've missed you," he muttered into her neck.

"I missed you too," she laughed. Suddenly, the door opened and a group of freshman girls walked in, and froze when they saw Ty. "We should probably get out of here," she stated and he nodded in agreement.

As they were getting back into the cafeteria, Beth suddenly stopped Ty. "What?" he questioned and she gestured wildly to their table. Parker and Abbie were sitting there, and they seemed to not be fighting.

"You said leave them alone," she said, "so we're going to leave them alone."

"Fine!" he muttered, but wasn't able to hold back his smile at his crazy girlfriend.

...

"Ty, don't make me do this," Beth whined.

It was that Friday night, and Ty showed up at her house, wanting her to go to some guy's birthday party with him. "You think I want to go?" Ty laughed, "The guy's a douche. But I promised him I would a while ago. Please? I won't have fun without you."

She sighed, "You owe me big time, Tyson Clark."

A grin spread across his face as he hugged her, pecking her on the forehead. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
