"Oh no, you go right ahead, i'm already tired and we're barely on our first lap," Cass laughed. I began picking up speed and soon was behind the first girl, who was also in track. I kept glancing at the mob of football players until I spotted #10 and immediately smiled.
"Dang Lily! That was your best mile!" My coach patted my back as I tried to catch my breath.
"Thanks!" I smiled and slowly began to stretch.
"I know what you're trying to do," Cass said as she ran across the finish line.
"What?" I asked.
"You're showing off because Jack is out there," She smirked.
"Omg no!" I said sarcastically and laughed. I looked over at him and he was already looking at me. I smiled and waved and he shot me a grin before looking away.
"You guys are too much," Cass shook her head and I giggled.
-
"Hello?"
"Sup Roberts!" I heard Cam's happy voice through the phone. I was currently drawing random doodles on my sketch book and re-organizing my room.
"Hi Cameron, what's up?" I asked, setting my phone down on the table and pressing speaker.
"Wanna hang out?" He asked.
"Um right now?" I asked him, glancing at my clock, which read 5PM.
"Yeah, wanna go out for frozen yogurt or something?" He asked.
"Uh yeah sure! Beep when you're outside okay?" I said, putting my pencil down and quickly getting up.
"Alright i'll be there in 10," he said before hanging up. I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of leggings and a cream sweater. I didn't bother re-doing my makeup and simply put my hair in a braid. I walked downstairs and sat down on the couch, patiently waiting for Cam to get here. My phone vibrated on my lap and Jack's silly face appeared on the screen. I immediately smiled and picked up.
"Sup young thug?" I answered.
"Did you really just call me a young thug?" Jack laughed.
"Mayybe," I giggled.
"So what are you doing on this lovely monday afternoon?" Jack asked.
"Um Cam and I are going out to get frozen yogurt," I said awkwardly.
"Wait what?"
"What?"
"Why are you going with Cam?" Jack asked.
"Well he called me and asked if I wanted to go so I said sure, didn't know I couldn't hang out with friends," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Lily you know we can't trust Cam-"
"We can't trust him? Maybe you can't, but I can," I said as I heard a honk outside.
"You know what, Cam is here so I have to go," I said, getting up and walking towards the door.
"Fine, have fun on your little date," Jack said in an angry tone before hanging up. I rolled my eyes again before walking outside towards Cameron's car.
"Hello there," Cameron rolled down the window and smiled seductively
"Hi Cam," I giggled and hopped inside his car.
"So how you doing?" He asked as her drove away from my house.
"Fine, I super tired though," I said, relaxing on the seat. I looked out the window and frowned at how I had ended the call with Jack. Jack needs to understand that I can have other guy friends and hang out with them. Does this mean he doesn't trust me. I shook the thoughts away and laughed at something Cameron had said, Jack needs to stop being so jealous before it turns into a serious problem.
Cameron's POV:
"What do you want Brianna?" I groaned as I picked up the phone.
"Did you do what I told you to do?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm on my way to pick her up right now," I rolled my eyes, walking outside my house and towards my car.
"Good, hopefully Jack gets jealous and they fight or something, I just need them to break up. How stupid is Jack? He literally just acted like her girlfriend was still the sweet little perfect angel," She said angrily.
"Wait you did all that so Jack would break up with her?" I asked.
"Uhh duh! Do you really think I cared about my brother? Actually my step-brother, but that doesn't matter, they need to break up Cameron, i don't care what it takes," Brianna said before hanging up the phone. I shook my head and rubbed my temples before turning my car on and driving out of my driveway.
