𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡! 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐈'𝐦 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐈'𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.

You sigh entering a cafe, people at school 
were bullying you again. It all started when
the rumours came out about you during 
seventh grade and ever since then you've 
been verbally abused by your schoolmates.
                          
You walk up to the counter ordering a 
caramel macchiato (change drink if you 
don't like it) and waited for you order to come.
                          
The barista calls out your name and you 
grab your drink walking over to a small table.
As usual, you were reading a book in Wattpad.
Books were one of the only ways to escape 
the real world, other than music.
                          
Suddenly you spot a figure at the 
corner of your eye sitting down on the
seat in front of yours. Your e/c gaze up
looking at the person. It was a girl.
                          
She had ginger hair that was cut short,
crystal blue eyes, and freckles all over her 
 rosy cheeks. She was beautiful.
                          
"Hi" she greeted awkwardly, you
nod your head in return as you continue 
to read your book.
                          
"What book are you reading?"
                          
You look up to see her with a 
warm smile evident on her face, you 
show her the book cover and she nods
her head in understanding.
                          
"Nice choice, I'm Sophia"
You write your name on a piece
of paper and show it to her.
                          
'Why isn't she speaking?' Sophia 
thought in her head.
                          
What Sophia didn't know was
that you were mute and you just 
promise yourself never to 
speak again. That's how you got
the nickname 'mute girl'.
                          
You both sat in awkward silence
as you continued to read your book.
Suddenly a group of familiar kids busts
through the doors of the cafe.
                          
The sight of them made you eyes 
widen, Sophia looks at you with
a confused expression on her face.
                          
They walk up to you as you feel your 
anxiety creeping up on you rapidly.
One of them smirks at you,
grabbed your drink and poured 
it all over you. 
                          
Your eyes are covered but you
hear Sophia gasp. Great.
Now she'll think you're a freak.
                          
"What the hell do they think they're 
doing?!" The redhead suddenly had an 
outburst surprising you.
                          
No one really stood up for you or even
complained about the bullies, people
mostly just leave it.
                          
You just shrugged in response 
and wiped the drink out 
of your eyes. She sighs and
hesitantly asks her next question.
                          
"They do this everyday to you 
don't they?" She asks sadly.
                          
You just nod your head, thinking it
wasn't even a big deal though it was.
                          
"Well if they ever mess with you again
call me" she winks handing you a 
piece of paper.
                          
Sophia stands up nodding one last
time before leaving with only one
thought in her mind.
                          
'I'm going to do whatever it takes
for her to smile or speak'
