"tempting, but no. i don't think i can walk, lonny. besides, you'd try to go for round seven...so consider this me tapping out." i chucked him the deuces.
"what if i promised you no funny business, and i'd carry you?"
"nooooooo!" i protested with a giggle, but He still stalked over to the bed and picked me up. "put me down!"
"i'll put you down in the tub. i'm running you some bathwater." leave it to Him to do something sweet for me right after being cocky, right after being rough before that.
"i like that!"
"thought you would." He pecked my lips, then sat me down on the edge of the tub. i crossed my legs, then winced at the soreness, but got over it. the perfectly warm water rushed into the tub, covering my feet, then after a certain point, i eased myself into it.
"thanks for the bathwater, baby. i appreciate it."
"no problem. anything for you, sunshine." He slid into the tub, facing me, and we just stared at each other. i got lost in His eyes, and He got lost in mine. then once we snapped out of the trance, we started smiling for seemingly no reason at all. no reason on the surface, i mean. you wouldn't understand if you haven't been in love...
"i love you, lonny." i mouthed.
He did the same. "i love you, anise."
