"Alright, let's go home." Reed said to Genesis who looked at him weird.
                          
"Can you take me to my house?" Genesis asked Reed. She was feeling rather homesick.
                          
"No." Reed said locking all of the car doors.
                          
"Why not?" Genesis asked beginning to feel odd around Reed.
                          
Suddenly she was under his stare. "Because I treat you better than your family. I will always treat you better Genesis. You will always be safe with me, under my protection."
                          
Genesis nodded. "You can come with me. I just need to grab a few things." 
                          
Reed thought it over for a minute. "Fine but I'm not letting you out of my sights the entire time. Got it?" 
                          
Genesis nodded. "Alright."
                          
Reed drove off in the direction of Genesis' house with her giving him directions all the way.
                          
They finally pulled up to a town house in the suburbs. Reed was in high alert. He didn't like this place.
                          
He could hear the sound of someone being beaten and yelling. He grimaced and pulled Genesis closer. He tucked her under his arm as she unlocked the door and the sound of beating stopped as did the yelling.
                          
"GENESIS WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" A woman screamed at her. Genesis felt tears prickling at her eyes. But she held her head high.
                          
"Mom, this is Reed Wolf." Genesis introduced the wall of flesh and muscle to her mother.
                          
Her mom looked him over which made Reed's blood boil. She was checking him out.
                          
"That's not a good excuse. You brought a guest over to distract me from your punishment you little whore." Genesis' Mother reaches out to pull her hair but was blocked by Reed's arm.
                          
"Don't touch her." He snarled tucking Genesis under his arm again as he glared harshly at Mrs. Lovan.
                          
"I can touch her however I want she's my daughter and she's still in school." Mrs. Lovan bit back at Reed's tall muscular form.
                          
"My graduation was last night Mom." Genesis mumbled causing Mrs. Lovan's eyebrows to raise as she looked over at the calendar and then back at Genesis.
                          
"So it was." She said with an evil smirk.
                          
"Well she's still underage." Mrs. Lovan chuckled evilly.
                          
"My birthday was last week Mom. I'm eighteen now." Genesis said shrinking back behind Reed a bit more.
                          
"She's moving in with me because she is not safe here with you." Reed growled.
                          
Mrs Lovan glared daggers at Genesis. "You little whore! Moving in with your boyfriend huh? Well maybe you'll finally lose your damn virginity!" She screamed as she stormed out of the house.
                          
She slammed the door and was gone.
                          
Silent Tears streamed down Genesis' cheeks as Reed carried her up to her room.
                          
"Here lets get your stuff and go." He said softly as if Genesis was a delicate flower not to be crushed or trampled on.
                          
Genesis wipes her tears and sniffles before nodding.
