I'm beginning to believe it's possible
To have someone like you without the pain.▪▪▪
"Hey."
Finn walked into the master bedroom where Millie was getting ready. Her eyes were glued to her phone and she was texting rapidly, making Finn repeat himself.
"Hey," he said making her look up. She locked her phone and set it in her lap before giving him a small smile. He walked over and bent down, placing a quick kiss on her lips.
"Boy if you don't get away and stop ruining her lips," the makeup artist said swatting at Finn.
He laughed and backed away, Millie giggling. The makeup artist shook her head and started to reapply Millie's lipstick with a small brush.
"You cannot kiss her before you two get there or else she'll have splotchy lipstick," the makeup artist scolded Finn.
He nodded, not really paying attention to the words as he watched Millie start to get her hair done. Ever since the Met Gala she had been wearing it at her regular length without extensions, something that she and Finn both took a liking to.
"You guys are sickingly sweet," the makeup artist said.
Finn shrugged and sat on the bed.
"Didn't I tell you not to sit down?" Cory said walking in, "You're going to crease your pants."
She made Finn stand up and then started to help him put on a button up shirt.
"Black again? Why always black?" Finn said as he pushed her hands away so he could button it himself.
"Because it's easiest to match. Plus you always complain when I put you in colors," Cory replied.
Finn nodded, "Touché."
He finished buttoning up the shirt and Cory nodded in satisfaction. His phone started to ring and he pulled it out of his pocket, Pia's picture flashing across the screen.
"Hey," he said as Pia's face came up on the screen.
"I told you to call me once you were ready," Pia said.
Finn sighed, "I'm not ready yet though."
He sat down on the bed but was immediately hauled back up by Cory.
"Are you giving her a hard time again?" Pia groaned.
Finn bit his lip, "No..."
"Finn this is your first interview with Millie, you need to take it serious," Pia scolded.
"I am, I-"
"Where's Millie?" Pia cut him off.
Finn switched the camera to Millie who was looking at her phone again with a worried face.
"Millie," Finn called.
She looked up and locked her phone, "Yeah?"
"Hey Millie, please keep this one in check today. He seems distracted and isn't taking this serious," Pia said.
"Right, got it," Millie flashed a thumbs up. She unlocked her phone again and looked back to it.
"Now Finn, I'm going to text you your reminders so check your phone before you start the interview okay?" Pia said sternly.
"Yes mom," Finn rolled his eyes.
Pia sighed, "Finn."
"Sorry, I'm taking it serious, I promise," he apologized.
