"Patrick!" Ryan yelled as he stepped into his friend's house, "Hey, I'm here! Why are you acting so weird?" The room was dark and quiet as Ryan shut the door. "Patrick?"
                          
Ryan walked through the living room and into the kitchen. "Patrick, this is creepy. You're a ball of sunshine, not a creature of darkness."
                          
"I'm in here." Patrick's voice croaked from the kitchen.
                          
Ryan flicked the light switch. In the corner of the room, Patrick sat on the floor, shielding his eyes from the light.
                          
"Jesus, Patrick!" Ryan hurried over and knelt in front of his friend. "What's wrong? Have you fallen and can't get up?"
                          
Patrick sniffled, bringing his arm down to wipe tears off his face. "No..." He looked at the ground and sniffled again. "I... I just..."
                          
Ryan frowned. "Come on." Ryan extended his hands. After a moment, Patrick grabbed Ryan's hands and was helped to his feet. Ryan lead him into the living room and they both sat on the couch.
                          
"Patrick, what's wrong?" Ryan asked, quietly. "Is Natasha here?"
                          
Patrick shook his head. "With Breezy." He said. He leaned his head on Ryan's shoulder. "She's fine."
                          
"You're not." Ryan replied. He held Patrick in a hug, wanting to make his friend feel better. "Wanna talk?"
                          
Patrick nodded, but silence hung in the air awhile before he could find words to speak.
