"So, Park Jimin-ssi. Would you like to apply for it?"

His lecturer for Macroeconomics module had called Jimin in his office one day.

Jimin cautiously took a seat in front of his lecturer. Several papers which he assumed his monthly test results, laid on the desk.

Mr. Song was one of the famous lecturers in the campus for randomly choosing several students to be involved in the Students Exchange Programme, where the chosen students were sent abroad for a month to gain experience plus do individual reports based on the theme set upon by the chairperson himself.

"I know you would like to apply for this programme, Park-ssi, but looking at your past results these past few months, I can't assure you that you would be able to."

Mr. Song eyed Jimin through his heavily lensed glasses and Jimin could only lower his head in shame.

It was true that he really did want to apply for the programme.

Heck, it was one of the reasons why he applied to this university.

These past few months, he was being distracted by Jungkook's existence that he forgot to study. He also often came to class and if he did, he would go out early so as to catch a sight of Jungkook, who just exited his class.

"I'm sorry, sir. I really do want to apply for this programme. Is there any way for me to be enabling me to join this programme, with these results of mine?"

Mr. Song thought for a while before proposing Jimin an idea for him to get back on his tracks.

"Well then, you have to..."

-

Jimin had decided.

He had given it a full thought.

He did not mind being a rebound and already discussed it with Jin and Hoseok.

They of course at the beginning rejected the idea but after looking at the determined expression of Jimin's, they eventually gave in and respected his decision.

Today would be the best day for him to finally let the maknae knew of his feelings.

This would decide whether he should apply for the programme or not, depending on Jungkook's answer.

Well, if he was rejected, it would be the best getaway he could have to move on from Jungkook. But if he accepted, then he would not apply for the programme.

He did know that it was not good to bet on the confession itself for the programme, but at least, it would offer him some sort of assurance.

He stood outside of the club room, gathering enough courage for him to do this.

They were supposed to be having practice but he already told Namjoon that he would like to skip today's practice, because he needed some time alone, to which Namjoon patted Jimin's back in understanding of Jimin's inner turmoil at the moment and reassured him with a dimpled smile.

He sat at one of the benches in the campus' main lobby and nervously waited for a particular someone to arrive.

Jin and Hoseok came up with a plan on how to give the both of them some time alone without all the members' presences nearby to which they found out the only best time was during practice.

They had called the younger out, with the excuse that Jimin had something to tell him.

Jimin gulped nervously when finally he spotted from afar the familiar figure he had come to love.

He saw Jungkook seemed to be searching for him as his eyes wandered everywhere before his eyes caught his and flashed him the smile he came to love as well.

"Hi, Jimin-hyung. So what is it?"

Jungkook took a seat beside him and glanced towards his hyung.

"Actually, there's something I want to tell you..."

Jimin turned his head towards the younger and their eyes met.

Jungkook patiently waited for the older to continue to which Jimin gulped and gathered his courage.

Here goes nothing...

"Jeon Jungkook, I like you..."
