Fragment Seven
I saw the way you looked at me
as if I was the sun.
You were stuck in a trance- this I knew-
and an image.
But did you see the way I looked back at you?
The first time we spoke,
your words stumbled.
But did you see the way I clung to every word you spoke?
I wish you knew how much I lay awake at night thinking of you.
I wish you knew when I closed my eyes I only ever dreamt of you.
I wish you knew my heart was already yours.
Give me a chance?
You only ever gave me solar stares and fast words close by.
You only ever admired me from a distant as if my touch would burn,
but your eyes burned me.
I need to know,
will you accept my love?
