" I mean, technically it's not cheating, " Peter remarked. " It's not in the rules. "
" Of course your school doesn't have rules against Spiderman playing basketball, because they don't know th- "
Peter interrupted. " So, it's legal. "
Tony groaned.

" So, Penis, trying out for the basketball team? "
" Yes Flash. What position do you play? "
" Point guard, obviously. "
Peter grinned. " Well, I think I know what position I'm going for then. "
Flash growled, running straight for Peter.
That is, until Flash saw Coach behind him. " Good afternoon, Flash, Peter, " he said, sounding surprised at the latter being there.
" It's time to begin tryouts. "
-&-
It was obvious who had won between Flash and Peter.
With Peter's spidey senses, he could quickly detect where the opposing team would pass the ball and intercepted it dozens upon dozens of times. Long before their scrimmage was finished, Peter had a group of awed teenage boys playing with him.
The moment the scrimmage was done, Coach pulled Peter aside away from the other boys.
" So, Mr. Parker, I've got to ask;
why the hell did you not try out before? "
Peter smirked. " I don't know. I always felt like I was hanging somewhere else and couldn't play. "
" Well, Peter, we're gonna have to change that, " Coach whispered, clapping a hand on his shoulder. He soon signaled to the other basketball players to huddle around him. " I would like you to meet Midtown High's new pointguard! "
Peter paled. Oh shit. He only wanted to mess with Flash.
Fuck.
-&-
Karma is a bitch, and Peter had definitely pissed of karma, cause life hated him. Again.
Flash began to torment him twice as hard now, making it twice as hard for him to practice. Plus, the daily basketball practices took out a bit of his free time, making it harder for him to patrol.
Basically, everything got harder.
He should've listened to Tony.

Tony knew the kid was stressed with sports and Spiderman, but when Peter walked into Stark tower pathetically hiding a limp, Tony rushed over to his son.
" Peter, what happened, " Tony questioned, while patting him and trying to identify what had caused the limp and if he had any other injuries. Ever since the attempted bombing, Tony had been more protective when it came to Peter.
" It's nothing, " he replied, gasping when Tony touched his knee lightly.
" That doesn't sound like nothing... "
" It's just my knee. Knee problems. "
" Peter, I've known you for over a year. You don't have knee problems. "
" Fuck... " Peter responded, knowing he had been caught (Peter wasn't that good of a liar).
Tony lifted him with ease to the infirmary. For being Spiderman, he was pretty light. A little too light, maybe.
When the duo arrived at the infirmary, they were met by a concerned Bruce and a dissapointed Steve. " Language, " he said, staring straight at Peter.
" But we were floors beneath you..."
" Language. "
Peter groaned. While Steve and Peter's bickering had ensued, the Science Bros had found the cause of Peter's pain.
He had multiple contusions, a broken rib, and a dislocation of a bone inside the knee. When the men turned to Peter, expecting an explanation, he just muttered, " basketball. "
They frowned at him. He just shrugged.
When Natasha walked in, she merely pointed at each wound, quickly identifying the most probable cause.
" Being kicked, punched, and basketball. "
Natasha paused, then began stroking Peter's arm in a loving motion. " Peter, " she spoke, voice soft,
" who do I need to kill? "-&-
