"La La, I have an idea," Jughead said as he caught up with the girl. She pulled out her headphones out of her ears as she walked alongside Jughead. "And What is that," La La said as she looked over to him. "How about starting up a club, a club for Serpents," Jughead said as La La thought over the idea. "Like a Sword and Serpents club?" La La said as she thought of a good cover story. "It could be a club that is for gaming students," La La said as she smiled likening Jughead's plan, "nice thinking". Jughead smiled as he got La La to agree with the club idea. "Now we have to get Weatherbee on this plan," Jughead said as he headed towards the Blu and Gold.
                          
"I'll write the proposal and then we'll meet Weatherbee to start the Swords and Serpents club," Jughead said as he entered the room. "Alright, let me know when you have it. But now I have to go to gym class" La La said as she stood in the doorway of the Blue and Gold. "have fun" Jughead said as La La walked in the direction of the gym.
                          
La La entered the girls' gym locker room, most of the girls stared at her as she headed towards her gym locker. "God, did you get these stares,"La La asked Toni as she was changing into the yellow and white shirt with black running shorts. "Of course, they judge every one of us," Toni said as she leaned against the locker beside La La. "What are we even doing for this class?" La La asked as she pulled the shirt over her head. "no clue" Toni said as she went to the door leading to the gym.
                          
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen were playing basketball. Since it is going to be basketball season soon" the gym coach said as he put blew his whistle. La La looked over at Sweet Pea on the other side of the gym and mouthed "WTF", a smile appeared on his lip. "Do we have to play?" La La asked as she raised her hand. "All participation is required for the grade," the coach said as he looked at La La. "Yeah, you try being barely 5 feet tall and tell me how it is playing basketball" La La said as she laughed and shook her head at the same time.
                          
The coach separated the boys and girls into two teams; the team leaders being Reggie and Archie. Of course, Reggie purposely didn't pick any of the Serpents, but luckily Archie had a team of all Serpents. Archie gathered his team around in a circle, "So this is the game plan". La La placed her hands on her hips as she stood next to Sweet Pea. "Ronnie, Toni, and La La you guys are going to be in the back defending the hoop, while Sweet Pea, Fangs and I will be doing most of the running," Archie said as he looked at his team.
                          
The coach blew his whistle, starting the game. Instantly, La La could hear the squeaking of sneakers on the court. "Hey, You and Sweet Pea are like the modern day Bonnie and Clyde," Veronica said to La La who stood next to her. La La looked over at Veronica, "and who said that" La La asked. "Me," Veronica said as she looked back at the people playing on the opposite side. "Toni, you'll protect me if the ball comes flying at me right," La La said as she looked over at her best friend. "No, promises," Toni said while laughing.
                          
Closer and closer the ball got to the three girls, stepped back. Archie had the ball as one of Reggie's players were on top of him, looking over La La was the closest to him. She stared at him and shook her head as he over at her. Archie still passes the basketball to La La, who caught it in her hands. She looked over at Sweet Pea and there it, not liking holding the ball. Just as she threw the ball, La La was body slammed by Reggie. La La's small body hit the court hard and skid from the force of Reggie's shove. La La laid there for a minute, her body not ready for that force. "This is why small people don't play basketball" She groaned as she tried the sit up. Sweet Pea dropped the ball and ran to her side, "What the fuck Reggie". Sweet Pea helped her sit up, she rolled her shoulders as she sat on the ground. "La La, you can sit this out," the coach said as he watched the scene unfold. "Gee, thanks," La La said sarcastically, as Sweet Pea pulled her to her feet.
                          
"Are you okay?" Sweet Pea asked as he sat next to La La for a second. "yeah, nothing I can't handle" La La said as she continued to roll her shoulders, "Just hit him in the face with the ball". Sweet Pea chuckled at her comment as he rubbed her back before kissing her head and getting back up. La La watched from the sidelines of the game playing. She kept her eyes on Sweet Pea the whole time, watching how his arms flexed as he dribbled the ball. He was probably the tallest among all of the players, his height towering everyone. As Sweet Pea had the ball in his hand, he shoved Reggie hard, sending Reggie to the ground. Sweet Pea continued to play as if he didn't shove Reggie as hard as he could. La La smiled as Sweet Pea looked over at her, she saw how he shoved Reggie, as he did to her.
                          
La La walked down the halls next to Sweet Pea, his arm wrapped around her shoulders. "I got the proposal done," Jughead said as he stopped the couple. "Good, we can go to Weatherbee now so we can get it approved," La La said as she moved out of Sweet Pea's arm. "What are you guys talking about" Sweet Pea furrowed his eyebrows as he looked down at her. "You'll see" La La smiled as she leaned up and placed her lips on his. "I'll see you later, Sweets," La La said as she followed Jughead toward the administration office.
                          
Once La La caught up to Jughead he looked over to her, "I heard Reggie tackled you down in the gym". La La rolled her eyes at the exaggeration, "he didn't tackle me. More like hip-checked me". Jughead chuckled as she and Sweet Pea have different interpretations of some events, "that's not what your boyfriend said".
                          
"Mr. Weatherbee. Jughead and I have a request of starting a new club called Swords and Serpents. This club entails student who has an interest in gaming. The club will allow us, students to recreate world building, role-playing scenarios" La La stated as she sat across from Weatherbee. "This is our club proposal. Layla and I will be the founders of this club and we will control the club. All we need is an empty classroom and your permission" Jughead said as he placed the proposal on Weatherbee's desk. "I approve of this club, as long as it does not get out of hand. Do you understand" Weatherbee said as he leaned back in his chair, placing his hands on his stomach. "We understand" both La La and Jughead said at the same time.
                          
"Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the Swords and Serpents Club," La La said as she and Jughead stood in front of the group of Serpents. "Which is what, exactly?" Sweet Pea asked as he sat on top of the desk. "Like we told Fogarty to lure him back to dear old' Riverdale, we are a gaming group," Jughead said as he looked over to Fangs.
                          
"Sanctioned by Mr. Weatherbee, himself, may I add" La La smiled as she thought about how they had played Weatherbee. "Where like-minded students can meet and concoct world-building, role-playing scenarios, inhabiting fantastical heroes and dispatching mythological creatures," Jughead said as he smiled at the description La La had made up about the club. "No, but really?" Toni asked as she leaned on a seat close to the front.
                          
"It's a club, for us. A safe haven where we can be Serpents, during school hours and under everyone's noses" La La stated as she walked over to Sweet Pea and placed a hand on his thigh. "We're not shedding our skins. We're lying low, in the tall grass" Jughead stayed to get everyone clear what the real purpose of this club.
