After a few weeks being in London, Kate adjust to the new environment easily. Not only adopting the British accent, she now knows where things are in the kitchen, where the markets are and the best price for foods, how to take the bus and things like that.
So far, she loves everything there. The job, the house, the new friends and the people around. Everyone is so free and careless, minding their own business and she's enjoying herself.
And as for her work, she gets the hang of it. Being a chef is never easy. It takes a lot of creativity, patience, and strength. But in the midst of all the tiredness from working, she loves it too much.
"I haven't thank you properly." Jörn and Kate are getting the kitchen ready before they open in an hour. "What for?" She asked, checking the equipment whether it's where they should be.
"For flying here in such a short notice. If you're not here, I have no idea how I'm going to manage the restaurant." He said. "Don't mention it. I'm more than happy to help you." Kate smiled.
"Just a few months. Until someone can take over the job." Jörn felt guilty for asking her to work for him, knowing that the pay is not as much as her previous jobs. "It's okay. I can stay as long as you need me, or even longer." Kate gave a small laugh.
"You know how I am. I'll go wherever the wind brings me to."
She began to call in her co-workers to start the preparation while Jörn brief his other staffs outside.
