The people praise me for saving them from the rebellion.

"I will always protect my people!" I announce.

They cheer for me and my heart swells with pride. Finally, I've done something that shows them that I'm on their side! I'm one of them and hopefully now they can trust me. A smile graces my lips.

"You are a great Queen." Adelram whispers.

We go back into our room locking the balcony behind us. Adelram settles on the bed and at first glance it looks like he'll sink to the bottom. He yawns then brings his face to me. "Light of my world." He calls barely above a whisper.

I waste no time going to him. I sit on his lap and look up at him. I can see he's struggling to keep his eyes open. I cup his face. He immediately pressed against my hand and then kisses it. "I didn't realize how tired I've become." He admits.

"Well it has been a very long day. I did almost die."

"Please don't remind me." He groans, "I can't stomach the thought of losing you. Today was the closest I had come to that nightmare so I don't want you out of my sight." He tells me. His hands slide around my waist and pull me closer to him. My head rests on his body and I can't help but smile. His heart slows and I look around at everything we have here. The chance of a real life filled with happiness and love like my family never was. "My Dark Angel you are everything I want."

He kisses my forehead.

"Let me go check on the babies and then  I'll climb into bed with you." I tell him.

All he does is nod and releases me from his grip. He lays down in the bed falls asleep before I make it to the kids' cribs. I grin at the sight. My precious children the living embodiment of my love for their father are more perfect than I could have ever imagined. My heart overflows with love for each of them. I kiss their foreheads as they slumber.

My eyes falls upon the mirror resting on the wall. My body still aches a bit from almost dying. I should go to bed, but I didn't get this far doing what I should. My curiosity gave me like it often does and I walk to the mirror.

"I command you," I start off with my skin becoming darker and my red eyes glowing, "mirror, on the wall," I pause again wondering if I should do this, "show me my sister, has she even missed me at all?"

The mirror shows my sister. We look very similar with our high cheek bones and light blue curly hair. She always wore hers up like mommy told us. I usually wore mine in long braids reaching my waist.

She got lucky with dimples on her face and freckles on her cheeks. She was always the one mommy and daddy wanted to rule. Like I should have come second, but she never made me feel like that.

She's sitting on her bed crying with our parents standing before her. They looked stressed. Mother has worry lines which never allows anyone to see and father just looks so tired.

"She's dead?" My sister Moon asks.

"That vile monster killed her." Mommy explains.

Moon gasps and sobs.

They told her I was dead! That's a bit dramatic. Then again I suppose the truth is dramatic too. They still could tell her the truth. They have never been good at the truth though.

"Darling, I know this is truly hard, but we have a kingdom to run and revenge to enact. Now it is your time to rule. You will marry Gerold tomorrow and we will kill all of those Dark bastards." Daddy assures. He even rests a hand on her shoulder.

Moon continues to sob frantically. Mommy waves daddy away and closes the distance between her and Moon. She looks Moon right in the eyes Wurth little more than a blank expression on her wrinkled face.
