"You keep spending all of your time with her," Archie whined as he nuzzled his face into his boyfriend's neck.

"That tickles," Jughead giggled slightly, squirming a bit.

"I want you to pay attention to me. I don't like Veronica. She's always flirting with you and being annoying," Archie mumbled.

"I think that she is just naturally flirty. I do not think that she is actually flirting with me. It is just who she is," Jughead reassured. The two were sat on the raven haired boy's bed, watching Netflix on his laptop.

"She took off her clothes in front of you."

"She is very comfortable in her own skin."

"I'm guessing that's your excuse for changing in front of her too," Archie huffed.

"Can you not ruin this weekend with your jealousy?" Jughead asked exasperatedly, rolling his eyes. "It is Christmas break and I just want to spend time with you."

"Then shouldn't we be doing something more exciting than watching High School Musical again?"

"High School Musical and all of it's counter parts are masterpieces," he declared.

"Okay but don't you think there's other things we could be doing?"

"We are not having sex again. I am tired."

"No, like talking about how we're going to go see your parents tomorrow," Archie said gently.

"I do not want to talk about it. I just want to do it and get it over with," Jughead said emotionlessly. He figured that the more he put it off, the more his parents would bug him about it. The video he posted on YouTube blew up, gathering over a few million views and becoming the topic of conversation for anyone that had a phone or even watched the news. Jughead was flattered that his story awed that many people, but it created more problems than solutions. Life wasn't as quiet and his parents felt the need to become more desperate in their approach to involve each other in their separate lives.

"We're going to talk about it," Archie said firmly, pausing the movie and closing the laptop.

"I hate when you pretend to be my therapist," Jughead grumbled, but he went along with it anyways, turning around to face the redhead. Archie always gave helpful advice, but sometimes Jughead didn't want it. His stubbornness was a trait of his that was never going to go away.

The truth was, Jughead wasn't really bothered by the idea of seeing his birth family. He was more indifferent if anything. He wanted to get it over with. He was tired of caring so much about what other people thought about him, and the stress of trying to make a connection with his parents was tiring him out. He was too busy to care. His YouTube channel was taking off, his job at Starbucks was actually becoming a nuisance, and he wasn't at home as much as he used to be. He had even managed to make friends, one of them being a beautiful Brazilian named Veronica. Just her alone was enough to keep his hands full.

"Have you thought about what you're going to say to them?" Archie asked casually.

"I figured that I would start with hello, and then towards the end of our conversation I would say goodbye."

"Can you please be serious? I don't want a repeat of what happened last time we went to California," Archie sighed.

"That was over a year ago. I am a different person now," the boy waved off.

"More mature? Maybe. Less impulsive? No. More prepared? No."

"You worry too much."

"You don't worry enough."
