Alyssa Hunter POV

"I wish it's a girl."
Lucas informs while grinning his million watt smile to me while rubbing my slightly swollen belly.

"No. I want a boy so he can be a mama's boy."
I pout at him while crossing both my arms over my belly. He chuckles and peck me at my lips. I smile shyly whenever he does that. Giving me all butterflies and tingles over my body.

"It's okay babe, we can have a lot of children."
Lucas replies to me, motioning his arm up. My eyes go wide and he laughs at me. His laugh is like music to my ears. It's my favorite thing in the world.

Weeks have gone by and you can see my belly slightly protruding from my clothes. It thrills everyone in the pack when they hear the news. Even though Lucas never really introduces me officially to the pack, but it seems that everyone knows me and respects me well.

He told me before about introducing me officially to the pack but seeing how we met and the circumstances of me and my wolf being awaken is not really the ideal thing to do. Besides, I'm pregnant, which adds to the list of Lucas's no.

Lucas is being very protective over me and our child, and it irritates me. As you already know him being an Alpha does not help much. My morning sickness is killing me and I thank Lucas for being very considerate of my mood swings and all.

We are sitting on our couch in the bedroom enjoying each other's presence. Lucas have move his office in our bedroom with a reason of never letting me out of sight. He must have felt guilty about what happened last time.

I have been trying to tell him it's not his fault, but he wouldn't listen to me. He is just too stubborn. Right now he is playing with my fingers as he scrolls through his phone doing his alpha work and I'm currently reading a book about pregnancy that Elle got for me. I close the book with the title 50 Things Before You Deliver and put it on the table in front of me.

"Baby, look."
Lucas show me his phone. I lean my head forward and see Amazon logo at the upper left of the screen. It's a book with a title, The Expectant Father: The Ultimate Guide for Dads-to-Be (Fourth Edition).

I burst out laughing, and he raises his eyebrows to me. His face is too serious and I'm the only who is laughing right now. Who would've thought Alpha Lucas is such a softie?

"I'm a softie just for you."
He replies to my thoughts. I laugh again and peck his cheek. He smiles at me and kiss my cheek back.

"I'm buying this book."
With that, he taps on his phone for a while. I smile again, watching him.

"Done."
He grins at me, and I lean into him, hugging him. He wraps his arm around me and pulls me tighter.

"Lyss, let's go walk around the pack house. You shouldn't be staying in the house for too long. It's not good for you."
He stands up and walk toward the closet as he searches for clothes to wear. He settles with black t-shirt with dark gray sweatpants.

I get up slowly and do as he says. I change to his dark gray shirt and black pants. I comb my hair and tie it into lower bun. He takes my hands and leads me out of our bedroom.

I look over to my watch. It is half-past nine in the morning and when we walk around, all the pack members are out of their house. Some are exercising and stretching while the others are getting ready for training sessions.

When they saw us, they slightly bow and smile and I return them back with a wave and a smile. Lucas's show no emotions and it irks me how indifferent he looks when they are other people around, but I'm not complaining. Part of me loves it.

When we return to the house I feel so tired. Pregnancy can be tough. Lucas carries me and lay me down on the brown couch in the living room.

"Wait here, I'll bring you food."
He order me and I gladly obey. In seconds, he comes to me with a tray full of foods. My stomach automatically growl lowly. Lucas chuckles and set down the tray in front of me.

I waste no time and eat the food. It tastes good. Lucas eats with me and watching over me, feeling slightly amuse of how much I can eat. For the rest of the day, I spent my time in the house, reading the books Elle gave me and follow everywhere Lucas goes because he insists me to follow him.

——————————-

I'm 8 weeks pregnant now. Only 8 more weeks to go. My love for my baby grows so much, and I couldn't express how much I love him and Lucas. Him? Yeah, I feel like it's a boy but Lucas is still with his guts saying it's a girl.

For you guys who don't know, werewolves pregnancy can be as short as 3 months or sometimes longer depending on how many babies the female is carrying. Crazy, right? I'm not complaining. I wake up with my sore muscles at half past 7 to an empty bed.

Lucas has gone out early in the morning to handle some rouges at our pack border. I have insisted him to bring Ryan with him and he left Noah, his guard with me.

I know he said he wants me to follow him everywhere but solving rouge problems is one of Lucas's list of no so here I am on the bed.

Please be safe.

I start my day with my usual routine and let me tell you something. Time passes by like a fuxking snail because it's only been 4 hours since he left and now I'm all bored. What better way to waste time? Sleep.

Currently, I was sitting on the bench near the garden, watching over Marcus, our gardener attending all the roses. I watch the sunset and it amazes me every time I see it. My face turns back to the roses. There are red, white, yellow and black roses. I like them all. Sometimes Marcus would give me roses whenever I came here.

His winter-white hair reminds me of my father, that's if he was still alive now. As far as I know, Marcus has been working here for a long time now and that he attends all the garden here all by himself.

"This one's for you Luna."
He says with his fragile voice while giving me a very rare-color rose. I perked up seeing this beautiful blue colored rose.

"Is this from our garden?"
I ask disbelieve.

"Yes Luna, this rare-color rose grows one in 500 roses."
He tells me gently.

"Thank you."
I say smiling to him as he excused himself back to resume his work. I quickly get up and walk into the house. I want to place the rose in a vase on my nightstand. Gently, I hold the rose while opening the back door of my house and pass by the kitchen.

Noah has been watching me from far not daring to start a conversation, but I don't mind because we don't know each other that well. When I walk into the kitchen, I thought I would see Jen's cooking because it it time for dinner, but the kitchen is empty. I wonder where she is. Lately, I haven't seen her around in the pack house.

Is she taking a few weeks off?

I continue walking until I reach the stairs.

"Is that you, Jen?"
I saw her standing at the top of the stairs, showing her back to me. Weird. I hurry myself up the stairs and touch her shoulder. I gasp as our skin touches at how icy her skin felt against mine. Up close, her skin look so pale.

"Jen?"
I call out to her while trying to shake her body, but I don't get any response.

Something's definitely wrong.

She turns to face me as she raises her hands and holds my shoulder. I cringe at how cold it feel.

In a flash, her eyes turn hollow, and she pushes me off the stairs.
