When I went home I sent Jeremy a text, "stay with her, I can sleep alone tonight and the night after and the night after".

"Will you be OK what about your safety, you know which woman my priority stand with" He message back.

"I'll be OK I have Trish" I told him, "She is back in town" I lied.

" I'll text you in the morning hope you have a good night kam".
I opened the first draw on my night Stan and stared at the silver ring with diamonds lining. He got her the same exact ring for her, he knew he couldn't throw away his daughter's interests for his. He was doing what a lot of man failed to do, he was trying to work it out so that his daughter wouldn't be hurt.

He was splitting himself in two. I should have been angry but I couldn't because I was the one who dragged him down to this when I know he already had his life planned out.
I took off my white dress that hugged every curve of my body seductively. I had lost alot of weight in the past months and could no longer be seen as the  fat girl. Don't get me wrong I'm not skinny but I'm also not fat. I was 149 pounds which was a good balance for a girl who was 5'5.  I no longer had rolls on my side or a second stomach. My ass was high and round, my thighs was still big but it was beautiful. I still jiggled when I run but I came to realization that everyone jiggle and I learned not to watch faces because people will always talk.

I took a nice warm shower then curl up in my bed. The evening was warm and the sunset that brew through the windows filter in a orange pink glow. I wouldn't call my life lonely, because I've never felt more peaceful as how I felt now.
I am a beautiful career woman, one who knows pain and happiness, one who was broken and love, one who fell and got back up with an helping hand.

I felt as if I was in my childhood home again getting ready for bed while my mother pet my hair to sleep. The last time she told me about the pity woman  she said, " Every woman is a pity woman at least once in their life"

The bird called pity woman encourage me, I never knew a good bedtime story can give me encouragement and life lessons but it did. At the end of the story, the pity woman became a fairy tale to many birds, some said she died in the air because she wasn't meant to fly, some says she became the fairest bird in the sky and others said that the bird who was always looking up died and burn up in flames and the bird that was currently flying was a rebirth from her ashes. They say the pity woman was a Phoenix.

My door bell buzz me  awake and slowly I opened the door to see Trish. She had a suitcase in her hand and a tube of ice cream in the other.

"How did you know?" I asked suddenly feeling emotional. All the heart roller-coaster ride, sadness, happiness, grown up shit I went through crashing down on me. Plus seeing her made me realize how much I missed Trish and I didn't want to burden her with my issues because she has a family now.

"Your boyfriend called, he told me he didn't want you to sleep alone" She said pouting, but it was clear that he told her everything.

I hugged her at the door for a long while, silently crying uncontrollably as she hugged me with her full hands. Leaning out of her grasp  I wiped my cheeks then offer to take her bags.
"Come on let's find you a man plus we have strawberry cheesecake ice cream and liquor!" She squealed closing the door.

I ate ice cream until I vomit we planned to get some body shots but I end up falling asleep exhausted. The next morning I woke up Brad was softly sleeping on the couch, Trish was in my kitchen cooking pancakes and Scrabble eggs with bacon.

Somethings just never change, I smiled. Trish and I made eye contact and I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Since when did you learn to cook?" I asked but she only looked at me and chuckled.
"When you become a real woman you would find your self doing all sort of things for your man" she said looking at Brad still dressed in his suit sound asleep on the couch.

I walked to the island table and take a seat in front of her, "when did he get here?" I asked.
"Early this morning, I forgot to message him yesterday evening about my whereabouts and when he came home and didn't see me he flipped" she shrugged, I awed.

"Guess what?" She said folding a pancake in half while stuffing it into her mouth.

"What?" I replied.

"I'm pregnant" she said stuffing more bacon strips into her already full mouth. I know something was up, Trish doesn't do something out of character for no reason and she always stuff her mouth like a pig when she is nervous.

"What!" I screamed getting up excited, I run around the table and started hopping and slapping her repeatedly on her shoulder then I hugged her and kiss her cheeks and hair and forehead.

"Finally you're turning me into a mother!" I squeal.
She kept laughing especially after she finish chewed her food.
"My child will be solely mines!" She laughed.
"Right I told you from years ago that you're having baby for both of us"
Trish laughed but then her smile slowly dropped, " whose that?" She asked looking into the living room. I turned my eyes to see a familiar green eyes man shyly walking in with Brad behind him.
"Hi" he awkwardly wave at us.
"Nick" I smiled walking towards him and greeting him with a hug which he returned. It was the first time he was entering my house and oh yea today was his day off, we always hang out on his day off.
"You two were so busy disturbing my sleep that you couldn't hear the door behind your loud noises" Brad complain walking back to the couch.
"I was calling your cell" He told me, his hands resting at the small of my back as I looked up at him.
"Oh no I completely forgot about our plans today" I blushed feeling bad. He frowned staring down at me and the hand that was on the small of my back moved to brush my cheeks gently.
"That's OK, but tell me we're you crying?" He asked looking at my still swollen eyes and dark circles.
Suddenly a pot bang in the kitchen taking us out of our conversation.
"Oh my" I rest a hand on my head as I walked to the island table again. "I'm such a Terrible friend" I nervously Laughed.
"Indeed you are, one with little to no manners I might add" Trish corrected.
"My bad" I mumbled to Nick " Trish this is Nicholas, Nicholas this is my best friend Trish" I told him, serving the long over due introduction.

They shake hands while Trish size him up with her bright black pupils before saying out loud, "I approve of this guy, he looks too gentle to break your heart"
I almost died instantly.
