"This one?"
"No."
"This one?"
"No."
"How bout this?" Katie despritely held up a tight red dress that was way to short. When I say short I mean it probably wont even reach my hip.
"Noooooo!" I said shielding my eyes and swatting the dress away.
"I told you there are no cute dresses in the clearance rack." Katie whined, helping me search for something presentable.
"It's all I can afford" I responded back. "Hey sexy, you have a text," sang from my purse. I pulled out my phone and read:
From: Liam the Llama
Message: 80% off everything at Minks!
Mink's is a very expensive shop that has to die for dresses. I refuse to go in there, I'm afraid I will fall in love with something my life's salary can not buy. But 80% off? There has to be something cheap there!
"Katie." I tried getting her attention, but she didn't look up from searching frantically.
"I'm trying, I'm trying!" she assumed I was going to yell at her.
"No, 8-% off at Mink's!" I said waving the text around in her face. "Lets go!"
She practically dragged me out of the store like she had just been released from 50 years in Jail.
"Wow you really wanted to leave didn't you?" I asked Katie who was gripping my wrist tightly and speed walking towards Mink's.
"I can't lie, that was torture." She responded while we stepped foot into the store. A lady dressed finely greeted us. I just smiled at her, she was the woman paid to say the line "Hello, welcome to Mink's." one hundred times a day.
The store was scented with a vanilla scent and I assumed that was their 'Signature' like Hollister or Abercrombie. We made our way to the back of the store near the dresses and Katie already had 4 dresses in her hands waiting for me to try on.
My jaw dropped when I saw how many I loved. Good thing it is a sale because I would be broke if I saw the first dress Katie held up right now.
It was a faded pink silk that was a little longer than my fingertips if my arms were down. The top part had a swirled design of gray and a thin belt separated the bottom with a bow on it. It was draped out into ruffles at the bottom and I was in awe. (A/N a picture of the dress will be on the side tommorow, im in bed 'sleeping' with my iphone. Who knew you could write on these things? Not me.) I snatched it from her and ran into the dressing room to try it on.
"Just one please" I said to the lady in front of the dressing rooms. She guided me to the back and shut the door behind me. I double checked the lock, took a deep breath, and slid into the dress.
"Please fit...." I told my body while pulling up the zipper.
Oh. My. God.
It was perfect.
Okay, moment of truth. I slowly reached for the price tag - oh come on! It read $799.95 (A/N sorry, I'm American, no euro signs on my keyboard :/ dang you Apple!), which means it's a no go. I would be paying $160 for which I didn't have.
I walked out of the dressing room, forgetting that I had the dress on, and Katie's Jae touched the floor. "You. You. You. You look stunning." She managed to get out with wide eyes.
"Thanks but I can't get it."
"Why? " She asked as if I was the stupidest person in the world to say no to the dress.
"The price isn't that cute. $160. " Is all I said looking at the floor disappointed?
"I got 80 bucks! Lets split the money; you're completely worth it!" she said through a huge smile on her face. I think she wanted this dress more than me!
"Really Katie? You're the best!" I gave her a huge bear hug.
"Cant. Breathe. Need...air..." Katie whimpered.
"Sorry I guess I got a little carried away" I laughed putting my hair behind my ear.
"Maybe just a smidge." We laughed at her remark until I got another text from Liam

Message: Shoes are free.
Is it weird how he knows this stuff? All well, FREE SHOES! I grabbed a silver pair of strapped heels that had small jeweled on them and made my way to the checkout. I usually get my money ready while in line, but since I didn't know the total yet and there was no line, I just winged it and handed the young cashier my items. She scanned them and while she was pushing in numbers I felt around my purse for my wallet. Bit it was gone. Wide eyes, I opened my purse and panically searched for it but no luck. I never take my wallet out of my purse; I always leave it in there. I had to have lost it!
"Katie." I looked to Kate and handed her my bag. Knowing that the cashier can still hear me, I mouthed Katie "I cant find my wallet" and luckily she knew what I was saying and began to look through it.
"Sorry were having a few problems with the register." The cashier said, clueless of what was going on between Katie and me.
"It's okay. Take your time." I responded with a fake smile while thanking God that he was giving us extra time.
"What's this?" Katie said holding up a piece of plastic.
"Umm my drivers license?" I guessed.
"I didn't know you owned a credit card!" Katie said showing the front part of the strangely recognizable card.
"Me neither, but I'm sure Liam Payne does." I said, still leaving Katie confused of why Liam had his credit card in my purse.
"That will be 1,023.95." The cashier said. Obviously there wasn't a sale at all... I'm going to get you for this Liam Payne.
Sorry for the shortie! Ive been buisy lately. Thanks for all of your reads, I appreciate it!
