After dinner, we walk back to the venue and I take Jin into the dressing room to give him his physical. He doesn't flinch when I take his blood sample, and overall, he's in good health. I give him a multivitamin, which thrills him because they're gummies, and tell him to send the next person to me. A minute later, Jimin walks in with the same confident aura he had when he first entered the restaurant earlier.

"Have a seat," I smile and pat the chair across from me that I've been using as a makeshift exam table.

He strides over and takes a seat facing me. "What's first?"

"I need to check your blood pressure," I tell him while picking up the arm cuff.

"You might need a bigger cuff for me than you did for the others." He winks boastfully, and I maintain my composure to keep from rolling my eyes.

"This one should be just fine." I slide the cuff onto his arm and fasten it into place.

"Have I lost my charm already?" He huffs, a smile playing on his lips. "I thought I still had a few good years left before my terrible pick up lines lost their effect."

I laugh in spite of how cheesy he's being, and his smile widens.

"I guess I've still maintained some of my charisma then." He reclines in the chair as I start the machine. I keep my eyes on the numbers on the screen as they climb, but it's Jimin's eyes on me that is consuming my thoughts. His steady breathing is a stark contrast to my own racing heartbeat as we sit in silence.

"Jungsoon-ee noona, I'm sorry if I came across as disrespectful before." Jimin finally lowers his eyes, as if ashamed, which makes me feel bad for him. How is this the same guy that practically backed me up against a wall earlier?

"Jimin, you don't need to apologize." I scribble down the final number from his blood pressure reading on my chart before undoing the cuff on his arm.

"Then can I get to know you a little better?" He smiles shyly at his hands in his lap before looking over at me. "What was it like living in America?"

"England, actually," I smile at his friendly question. "I absolutely loved it there, but at the same time, I was constantly so homesick."

"I know what you mean. When we're on tour, I'm always so happy to be traveling and seeing the world, but I also hate being so far from my family." He looks at my sympathetically, making the twinge of pity return. "Anyways, what do you enjoy doing when you're not aiming needles towards people?"

I follow his eyes to the small IV I'm holding that will soon be in his arm. "I thought Hoseok was the one who was afraid of needles."

"I'm not afraid." He furrows his eyebrows in defense. "I'm just... slightly uncomfortable."

"I'll make it go quickly," I assure him. I tie an elastic band around his bicep to make his vein easier to find, and quickly insert the IV to draw the blood. "There you go, the worst part is over."

"I guess that wasn't too bad." Jimin smile reappears once again. "You haven't answered my question though."

"Ummmmm, in high school, I was a major geek. I was on debate team and scholastic decathlon, and I was in the anime club." I admit in embarrassment, knowing not much has changed in terms of my geeky pastimes.

"That's awesome! What's your favorite anime?" His eyes sparkle at this bit of information.

"Mmmm, probably Death Note."

"I still haven't watched it yet," Jimin admits, his eyes fixed on the vial that is slowly filling with his own blood.

"You need to watch it!" I urge him.
