I wake up in my room with the sound of Rob printing out paper. It's really loud. "Rob what are you doing?" "I am printing out your school work from Earth that you haven't finished yet. I try to be helpful." I laugh and get up to check my computer. "Rob you do realize that I do all my work on the computer right?" "Oh..." he started shredding the paper to tiny bits on the floor. I get dressed in my colony uniform. Yes we have uniforms. RING! RING! Jacob is calling. "Rob out! I'm busy." He rolls out of the room as I lock the slide shut. "Hey Olivia. So how have you been. I'm sorry I didn't call yesterday I had a...... never mind. What have you been doing?" Jacob asks. "Well I've been sneaking around doing the Earth class and basically watching the Earth all day." Yes I usually do that all day. I've always dreamed of going to Earth. "I'm sorry, I still don't really believe that you live on Mars that's just crazy! But if you say so." I laugh. The Mars mission had never released that a child was born on Mars. It was top secret. "I'll prove it. Kinda. I'm gonna show you through my watch." I switch him to my watch video cam and walk ou to the hall. "I've always thought your house was cool." Jacob says smiling. I laugh. I take him to the nearest window. I turn the camera so he could see outside the window. For a second we just see darkness and twinkles of light. Then a blue and green ball emerges. "It's truly beautiful. It never gets old." Jacob says smiling. "I know I've shown you about a million times but it's true!" I hear footsteps. "Liv! What are you doing? Who on are you calling!" Calls Mary. Mary is like my adopted mom. Meh. "Oh crap sorry Jacob. Got to go about to be busted!" I Wilder to him as I turn of the chat. "Oh me? Uh nothing just looking at the Earth and darkness." She gives me a confused look. "If you say so. Anyways come with me. Today is your check up remember?" I shrug as we walk to the hospital wing. Every month I have to have my heart monitor checked. They give me a painful shot and give me a scan. Every time it's normal, I don't know why they still do this. So they do the monthly check and send me on my way. Mary goes back to her work as a mechanic engineer for the colony. I make my way al the way to the other side of the colony and head into the anti gravity room. This room is a room with no gravity ad has magnetic cubes inside so you can jump from. It's like your flying, but with less control. They mainly use this for astronauts training, but on Mondays it's free. That means I could float and think of Earth for most of the day. I step in and float to the nearest cube. I attach myself with my monitor and think. I wish I could go to Earth and meet Jacob. I want to make friends and be like other kids my age. I wish so many things. I start thinking that in the future the colonists are going to go back to Earth. I am going to Earth. Maybe. They haven't decided when the mission back to Earth will be or even if it will happen. I need it to. I need to go to Earth. I don't care is nobody thinks I exist, I need to see the ocean, boats, and different animals. I need to meet Jacob.
