Before the group, along with the newly recruited Kai, could think of a plan to end the snowstorm and slay whatever beast they will have to fight, new people were brought into the cave by the other ninjas. Only a few of those saved ones were familiar to a few members of the group. Those consisted of Sonic's fox friend Tails, Jesse's friend Lukas, Ruby's uncle Qrow Branwen and her friend Weiss Schnee, who had carried her scythe, Crescent Rose, from the moment she and Qrow fell into Ninjago, Rainbow's friend Starlight Glimmer and Neera Li, an associate of Lilac. Upon their arrival, the group told the new arrivals everything about the multiverse's current dilemma. As a result, it shocked them.
"This Glitch King you speak of," Weiss said, putting her hands on her hips. "He's the one causing all of this?!"
"It's hard to believe, but yes." Jesse nodded. "He stole a source from this kind of thing called a Dimension Machine and without it, that machine won't function and worlds will slowly become one if we don't do something."
"Wait," Starlight held up a hoof. "How do you guys know about this?"
Jesse pulled the cubed device from his pockets. "This device was given to us by someone who knows this crisis better than all of us combined. She just passed the knowledge to us and chose all of us to save the multiverse."
"And how are you going to do that?" Qrow raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"It's easy." Rainbow said, grinning. "All we have to do is retrieve the Galaxy Stone, go to our unknown friend's dimension and pop it back into the machine to stop the merge."
"It won't be easy, though." Dipper added. "There will be a lot of obstacles in our way and we can't save the multiverse with just each other. We're not enough."
"Not only that," Cuphead said. "But we have to jump from one dimension to another, meet new people and tell them the same gosh darn story over and over again!"
Everyone fell silent and looked at Cuphead. A majority of them had raised an eyebrow while the other few gave him a stoic expression. The cup kid just looked at them with a glare in response.
"What? I'm being completely observant and honest here!"
"Honestly, I kind of feel bad for everyone in the entire multiverse." Lukas began to speak. "Every single person ripped from their world and planted into another, separated from their friends and family... I...I don't know what to say."
"Lukas," Tails replied, looking up at him. "You just took the words right out of my mouth."
"And I thought babysitting a unicorn was more frustrating than all of this." Neera said, giving Starlight a stoic expression.
"Hey! Don't drag me into this!" Starlight yelled. "It's not like I have to go from one world to another to find what our friends are looking for to save the multiverse!"
"Unfortunately, you won't be doing that." Mario shook his head before gesturing at himself and the rest of the people who were chosen. "After all, whoever chose us is-a depending on us only."
"Well, there is one thing you can help us do." Kai jumped in.
"And that is...?" Weiss raised an eyebrow.
"Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but-"
"We're going to slay a beast that has been bothering Ninjago for quite some time." Sonic said with a grin. "After that, we can continue our quest."
"There is one problem, though." Lilac said. "We don't know where that beast is."
"But I do." Oracle said, getting everyone's attention.
"And what are you intending, Ms. Oracle?" Neera raised an eyebrow.
She summoned a hologram of a map of some sort. "I have scanned our current location and I was able to create a radar."
"What have you found so far?" Rainbow asked.
"Not much information about that beast, unfortunately. But I do know where it's going."
"Where?" Ruby wanted to know.
"It's going straight to a mountain near Ninjago City." Oracle pointed to a moving blue dot on the map. "This dot is supposed to represent the beast that has been messing with it's people for who the heck knows how long."
"Looks like we have to head to that mountain then." Kai nodded. "Unfortunately, some of us have to stay behind with Oracle. My vehicle doesn't have any room for all of us combined."
"I'll stay behind with Oracle." Lukas said.
"I'll stay too." Tails said.
"Looks like I'll miss out on the adventure too." Qrow said, putting his hands behind his head.
"Okay," Jesse nodded. "So that leaves me, Rainbow, Mario, Rabbid Peach, Cuphead, Dipper, Sonic, Ruby, Lilac, Kai, Neera, Starlight and Weiss. Okay, everyone. Let's head out. But be careful because it's freezing out there."
"I'm going to inform my friends about my departure before we leave." Kai said.
"Yeah, you go do that." He nodded.
After Kai was able to talk to his fellow ninjas, they quickly agreed to let him go off on the adventure of a lifetime. Before any of the group could leave, Oracle gave them a set of earpieces so they can stay in touch with one another. Soon, they all set off through the blizzard in Kai's large vehicle, driving through the snowstorm so they can head to the mountain where the beast was heading. As the ninja in red attire drove, he had to make sure that the windshield wipers of his big car were moving as snow drifted from the cloudy sky.
An hour passed, and they were still driving through the snow. The group had extreme looks of boredom on their faces, but Rabbid Peach's gaze was currently on her phone. Meanwhile, Sonic looked at Rabbid Peach. Full of curiosity, he scooted to the princess-like rabbid and began to look at what was on the screen of her phone. Suddenly, Rabbid Peach stopped looking at her phone and turned to find the cobalt-colored hedgehog next to her. Then, she smacked him in the face, causing him to fall off his seat and getting everyone's attention. Sonic groaned and placed a gloved hand on where the blonde rabbid slapped him. Looking up at her, he put a glare on his face.
"Jeez, what's with you?!" He shouted before he stood back him. "I know you're not the real Princess Peach because the real deal wouldn't do such a thing! But why?!"
"Welcome to my world." Cuphead replied.
"You're not helping, teacup!" Sonic turned his gaze to the cup.
"At least I'm trying!" He stood from his seat.
"HEEEEEY!" Ruby shouted, getting their eyes. "Shut up! I can't focus on fixing my scythe while a talking hedgehog and a cartoon cup are bickering!"
"Ruby, that's my thing!" Weiss replied.
"Not anymore." The caped girl smirked before she continued repairing her red weapon.
Meanwhile, Dipper kept looking at the block of ice that was standing in the wagon. Turning to Starlight, he said, "Starlight Glimmer, was it?"
The purple and blue-maned mare looked at the boy beside her. "Yes?"
"Do you think you can help me break this?" He pointed to the large ice cube.
"I'll try."
Standing from her seat, Starlight's horn began to glow a cyan aura. She aimed the horn on her head at the block of ice, which began to shine as well. Before the unicorn could continue her spell, everyone inside the vehicle felt a rumble beneath them. As a result, Starlight's spell was delayed.
"What was that?" Lilac said, jumping out of her seat.
"Guys, can you hear me?" Oracle's voice was heard in their earpieces.
"We hear you loud and clear, Oracle." Jesse said before another rumble was produced, shaking only two people from their seats.
"Oracle," Kai said, putting a hand on his earpiece. "What's going on?"
"I have detected something that, from what I could tell, is completely dangerous!" Oracle replied. "And it's currently after you guys!"
