"Oh damn, it's raining again!" sighed the brown haired boy pressing his forehead against the window. The cool glass giving him some relief from the throbbing pain in his head.
Jungkook was having one of those days again. His head was all fogged up and he just wanted to go outside and breath in some fresh air. But sadly, it was raining and he absolutely detested stepping out in the rain. He had always hated rains. It had spoilt every special occasion in his life. His birthdays, family picnics, amusement park trips and much more. It just slowed down everything around him.
As much as Jungkook liked staying inside and avoiding the outside world, he did enjoy going out once in a while for a short run or to grab a bite.
He wanted to run today. It always helped him. The adrenaline rush helped clear his mind. But he guessed that wasn't going to happen today.
"It's going to rain for the next few days according to the weather reports." The silver haired boy replied with a groan from where he was sat on the couch. He wasn't a big fan of the rainy weather either. His face had been buried in a Financial management textbook from morning. Namjoon was Jungkook's flat mate and a business major student in college.
Although Namjoon was studying business, he had published three romance novels which had been highly acclaimed. He actually had quite a big fan following for the way he penned down his ideas.
The older had known Jungkook for a long time as their families had been really close when they were growing up. Both of them had to move to a bigger city as their small town did not have any proper high-school and hence they chose to share a flat together.
Currently, Jungkook was not studying in any college. He was not sure on what line he wanted to pursue as he was interested in arts, drama and sports. So he decided to take a year off to fix a few thoughts in his head. Lazing around wasn't an option, thus, he landed himself a job in a small burger joint nearby, to match his daily requirements.
"I'm glad the launderette is closed today! There are hardly any customers when it rains and it's an absolute waste of money and energy to keep the shop open for no one" Jin said entering the room, drinking some water.
Jungkook looked at the black haired boy, nodding in agreement. Jin was his role model. They had known each other for nearly four years but it felt like forever. Jin had come to the city with just a few bucks, one extra set of clothes and knew no one. He soon managed to get a job in a bookstore, earn some money, enough to open his own tiny launderette and actually run the business successfully. His story always inspired the younger although many wouldn't consider opening a launderette a very big achievement. It was the fact that Jin had started with almost nothing that made Jungkook admire him so much.
"I guess I have no choice but to stay inside now. Jin hyung, do you want to watch a movie? We can order in some food too." Jungkook asked.
"Hmm, sounds like a better idea than getting upset because of the rain" the oldest sighed.
"Joon, do you want to join us?" Jin asked but the younger was quick to decline the offer. His exams were around the corner and he couldn't afford to waste a minute away from all the heavy textbooks.
"Ah! There is too much left to cover and I feel like I haven't studied anyth-" he was abruptly cut off as the boys heard the sound of a truck entering their apartment compound.
It looked like someone was moving in.
All of a sudden, they heard some angry voices coming from downstairs and the distinct sound of heavy cardboard boxes being thrown on the ground. Shortly after that, the truck drove away.
-silence-
The boys gave each other a look. They were confused but chose not to get involved in whatever was happening.
"So what do you guys want to have for lunch?" Jin asked.
But before they could answer, they heard scream "Oh CRAP!" followed by a loud thud.
