"How did I get you?" I stare at his beautiful green eyes.
                          
"We have been over this; I should be the one asking you this question. You are the epitome of perfect. You are the most beautiful person I have laid eyes on in my existence. You have the most beautiful long hair and it's so soft when I wrap my fingers in it, you have the most beautiful big brown eyes that reflect your innocence. You have the most perfect body that no one else should see but me by the way. You don't have mean bone in your body and I don't think you would hurt a fly even if it hurt you first and that sort of worries me because it means you won't hurt someone if they attack you but that is why I will always be here to protect you. You care about everyone no matter what they have done and you show that with your mum who you still care about even though she doesn't really return it. You make me happy and I care very very deeply for you." The tears are silently running down my face but they aren't tears of sadness they are tears of happiness because I think I am in love with him and all of his perfectness. No one has ever said anything close to that to me before and just the thought of someone feeling this way about me makes me ecstatic. I have never felt like this about someone before.
                          
I have no words to say to him so I do the only thing that seems like the right thing to do. I kiss him with passion and love. 
                          
We pull apart slowly but continue to be in each others arms, "What happened between you and Maya?" Sam asks me curiously
                          
I tell him the story of me and Molly and he takes it all in not interrupting just listening, "What I don't understand is why she went off" I conclude with a sigh
                          
"Well I was listening to what she was saying and it sounded like your dad did something that made her quite angry it might have been because she could feel that you were special or maybe she just felt very loyal to you because you were her owner but her wolf didn't like it and she was struggling to hold her back and then when your cousins came and jumped on you she felt over protective of you and it set off her wolf causing the attack. And then she was angry because you didn't try and save her." he looked at me sadly rubbing small circles on my hand with his thumb.
                          
"I didn't know that they were going to shoot her I thought they were just going to tie her up and then maybe take her to the pound I didn't think they were going to shoot her and I screamed so loud when I heard the gun shot and I didn't speak to anyone for weeks. I was absolutely devastated she was my best friend because I didn't have any friends. She was there when I got home from school and the kids had been bullying me and although she was still a dog I felt very connected to her she wasn't just my best friend she was my sister."
                          
"You really felt that way?" I hear a voice say from behind us. I turn around and see Maya standing there with Josh. She has tears in her eyes but they have not yet fallen. Sam starts to rise from the couch he kisses me on top of my head, "I'll come back soon" he leaves with Josh and Maya comes to sit on the couch next to me.
                          
"Maya I never meant to let them shoot you I thought that they were going to give you away or just take you into the back yard. I didn't talk to them for weeks after that and I ruined my relationship with my mother all because of the dog that I had as a child. My mother still doesn't talk to me but there is more than one reason for that but doing that was part of the reason. I never meant to leave you, you were my best friend." The tears haven't fallen down her face yet but I can see that she is trying to hold them in.
                          
"I'm so sorry I went off at you I realised it wasn't your fault I was just angry at you because I thought you were my friend and I was actually considering telling you my secret. But then that was ruined." She sighs sadly resting her hands in her palms
                          
"It's okay I forgive you. But I just am curious to know what happened in the time after you got shot, where did you go? What did you do? Why are you not dead?" she sits back up straight getting ready to tell her story
                          
"Well I got away the day your dad shot me I ate through the rope and he only managed to shoot one of my hind legs. Because we are werewolves we heal faster than people and so I turned back into my human form and pulled out the bullet and then I started healing it only took around twenty-four hours for that to work. Then I was pretty weak so I just walked around for a while in wolf form and then when I found some small animals I hunted them so basically I lived as a rogue for the time after that. I suppose I was a rogue since I was born though seeing as my parents left me on the side of the road. So yeah and then one day I was walking through the forest and my foot got stuck in a trap and I was stuck for a while I realised they were hunters so I tried getting away I was losing blood and I couldn't heal with the trap still attached to my leg so I was becoming weaker so I ate some of the plants around me and then I realised they were poisoned by wolfsbane a lethal poison to wolves and so I was slowly dying then one day I woke up and I was free of the trap I got up and tried to walk but I was to weak. I saw a guy walking up to me and he picked me up and took me back to the pack house he owned. It was Sam and then I found Josh and we discovered we were mates and I joined there pack" she smiles towards the end happily. Although the start was sad it was a happy ending for all of us.
                          
"How old are you know?" I ask her trying to make sense of his situation
                          
"I'm 15, I was 9 when I lived with you" she says but it still doesn't explain why she was a wolf when she was 9.
                          
"How were you able to change into a wolf when you were 9?"
                          
"Well you know how I was dropped off on the side of the road?" I nod and she continues "Well someone found me and took me to their house when I was 5. There was a male and a female and they were both human. I was strongly abused by them and then when I was 7 it got worse and then when I turned 8 I changed because the abuse was too much for my wolf and she came out. I have also come to the conclusion I had alpha blood somewhere in my family and it made me change earlier. I don't really know though this is just what I have read in books and heard from other people." She explains
                          
"Oh okay." I look around the room and then back at Maya and stick out my hand, "Friends?"
                          
She accepts my hand and I smile, "Friends."
                          
We walk outside and see our mates sitting on the steps out the front of the cabin. Sam gets up and comes over and hugs me and Josh does the same thing with Maya. At first I thought that Josh was just a cheeky young boy but I now see that he is mature and that he cares a lot about Maya. I watch as he kisses her forehead and then whispers something in her ear and she smiles and kisses him on the lips, they seem happy together. I look up at Sam and see him watching me. I stand on my tippy toes and kiss him on the lips.
                          
We walk back to the pack house and we go up to Sam's room. We settle into bed and I fall asleep with his arms wrapped around me.
                          
Before I fall asleep I feel a kiss a soft as a feather against my forehead. "Goodnight baby, sleep tight" He pulls me closer to him and we fall asleep in each other's arms.
