"Well, I'm out of ideas." She changed the subject. "That's what I do when I'm bored, but 5 hours is my limit today." She sighed and plopped on her bed.
"Let's go outside." He suggested.
"Outside? To where? You shouldn't do very much physical activity for at least a week so we can't go anywhere far."
"I know I passed by a park around here. Buy me ice cream and push me on the swings."
"Are you a toddler?"
"I'm looking out for my health. Just sitting there on the swings should be fine as long as you're doing all the physical activity, right?"
"I guess. You punk." She muttered the last part to herself.
"I heard that."
They stepped out into the hallway. As she pulled her door closed and locked it, Jinyoung was coming out of his apartment too.
"Oh hi Yuna." He beamed. His smile fell a little seeing Taeyong next to her. "Taeyong." He nodded. "Back again?" He asked casually.
"I never left actually." He winked as he snaked his arm around her waist. She turned to him with quiet smiling lips, but glared at him with eyes that screamed that she was going to kick him in his side later.
Jinyoung cleared his throat and ignored his comment. "Is your brother back? I heard you playing earlier."
"Oh, no that was just us. Sorry for the noise. He won't be back until the day after tomorrow."
"It's ok, I'm used to it. It's cute." He flashed an adorable eye smile.
"Anyway, we're on our way out. See ya, Youngie." Taeyong interrupted, grabbing Yuna's hand and pulling her down the stairs.
"Why do you keep acting like that when he's around? Gosh I swear I'm going to die of embarrassment next time you say some crap like that."
"I'm not sure, exactly. It's fun though." He laughed.
She glared at him again and tried to pull her hand away.
"You can't." He held on tighter. "He was leaving too so he might see us and think it's strange if we act differently all of a sudden."
"Fine." She huffed.
They stopped at the convenience store where they had first bumped into one another and bought ice cream, then walked to the park on the next street over. He grabbed her hand again and playfully swung it back and forth as they walked.
"I don't think Jinyoung is around anymore."
"You never know. Better safe than sorry, right?" He smiled.
They played at the park for a while. Yuna gave up on pushing him in the swing after he kept complaining that she wasn't pushing hard enough.
"This is why you couldn't give me a piggyback when I fainted. You should do some arm exercises."
"I'm sure it's fine. I'm not planning on you getting stabbed and having to carry you again. Are you?" She said as she sat in the swing next to him.
"Nah, once is enough. Don't worry, I'll make sure you won't have to. I'll be the one to carry you, so your jello arms can take it easy."
"Shut up. These jello arms still change your bandages and know where you sleep, so you better watch it."
"Fair enough." He laughed.
"Can we go home now? It's cold out here, especially after you made me eat ice cream." She complained.
They went back to the apartment and ate, then decided to watch a movie. He sat on the couch and she sat on the floor. He occasionally glanced down at her to see her rubbing the back of her neck. He sighed and moved to sit behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders, gently kneading the stiffness in her muscles.
"What are you doing?"
"I knew that sleeping so weird had to be painful." His fingers gently rubbed along the back of her neck. It was like suddenly pressing a magic button that turned her body to goo. She couldn't object to this.
"Mm that feels good."
"Don't say that, you're making my heart race."
"Gosh you're such a pervert." She huffed. He laughed.
She was quiet while he continued massaging her neck and shoulders for a while longer.
"I'm done. Feel better?" He asked. There was no response. He took his hands off her shoulders and she tipped backward, dropping into his lap. Her eyes were closed and her mouth slightly open. "Seriously? You fell asleep like this?" He said in surprise. "And you ask me if I'm a toddler." He scoffed.
He scooted out from under her, making sure her head didn't hit the floor and stood up. He took a breath and bent forward to scoop her up, clenching his teeth from the pain in his side. He quickly carried her to her room, gently laid her on the bed and covered her with the blankets, tucking her in snugly.
"I told you I'd be the one to carry you." He smiled and gently smoothed her hair. He walked out, closing the door behind him and then laid on the couch and tried to fall asleep.
