I sit in bed and play with my hair as sam watches YouTube. Yesterday I had some sort of panic attack, I was so surprised with myself for breaking down on camera, but I couldn't hold back my tears. I was thinking about everything I've been through and how my dad used to hit me. I don't know why that stuff came to mind but it just did, it scares me every time I think about it even though it's all over, I wish I could just get away from my mind sometimes. I jump as sam talks, it was just so quiet, "Hey Colby, do you wanna go to New Zealand with Elton and his friend Corey?" He asks, I furrow my eyebrows, it was just so random. "Uh, I—I mean sure but when?" I ask, sam laughs. "Sorry I know it was random but like....tomorrow." He says, I get up and start packing right away, sam looks at me and does the same. "So I guess we're going?" He asks, I nod my head.

After we were finished packing and putting the bags in Elton's car we sat on the bed and looked at the time. "It's 10:00 we should get to bed so we can wake up at 4." Sam says, it didn't take us that long to pack it was already like 9 when we started. "Ok." I say, sam goes over to the bed and plops down, he opens his arms for me to climb in. I lay by his side and we fall asleep.

I wake up to the sound of an alarm and a little hand on my chest, I move Sam's hand and get up, "sam get up it's 4:15 we gotta go." I say, he rolls and cuddles underneath the covers, I sit on the edge of the bed and play with his hair. "Come on get up, want one of my sweatshirts?" I ask, he nods his head. I get up and go to the drawer, I grab my black hoodie and throw on him, he groans. "Come on Elton is waiting for us outside." I say, sam rolls on his back and stretches, getting up. "Oh my god it's freezing." He says, I point to the sweatshirt and he puts it on, he looked so cute with his little sweater paws. "Carry me." He says, making grabby hands at me, I grab his hands and he wraps his legs around me. "You're so adorable." I say, he rests his head on my shoulder as we walk out of the apartment. Once we get outside I put sam down and we get into Elton's car, then we drove to the airport.

After we get to the airport we grab our stuff and wait for our flight. "Colby did you get seats that were next to each other for us?" Sam asks, I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know Elton bought the tickets." I say, I turn to Elton. "Hey ElTn." I say, he turns around and looks at me. "Yes colby." He says, I point over at sam. "Did you buy two tickets for me and sam that are next to each other?" I ask. "Yeah, you guys are like each other's teddy bears, you guys can't go a second without each other attached to your hip." He says, it was true though, we are each other's security blanket, but I love him. "True." I say, he points at sam, he was reaching for me. "What." I say, he is so clingy this morning, he's probably just tired, I know I am. "I wanna kiss." He says, I grab his face and kiss him. Our flight gets called next, we grab our stuff and get on the plane.

It's been a couple hours since we got on our flight and sam I were just watching a bunch of movies on my phone, I saw sam dozing off so I grab him and lay him down on my leg, he puts his legs inside of the sweatshirt and goes to sleep, I play with his hair until I fall asleep.

We land and we all grab our bags, I tickle Sam's neck to wake him up, he sits up and looks at me, I grab my stuff and take Sam's hand, then we go to the hotel. Once we get to the hotel we go to our room, which only had two beds, and figure out sleeping arrangements. "Ok who's sleeping with Corey?" Elton asks, Corey sits on the bed and looks surprised at Elton. "Um, I was not aware I was sleeping with anyone." He says, we all look at each other. "There's two beds." Elton says, Corey gets off the bed and sits on the floor. "I'll sleep here." He says, Elton shrugs his shoulders and looks at us. "I assume you two children are sleeping in the same bed." He says, sam hops on my back and nods his head. "Yeah we are." I say, Elton lays down on his bed and passes out, sam gets off of my back and lays on the bed. "Colby cuddle me." He says, I get in bed and pull him into my arms, we then go to sleep.
