"We have three months left of sixth year," Said Alice, brushing her hair before bed. Madison was curled up under her gryffindor blanket in her unicorn onesie, her book in her lap.

"Don't remind me." Groaned Evangeline, dramatically, "responsibilities...eugh."

"Aren't your supposed to be responsible already?" Asked Mary, who was painting her nails. It was just a normal night in for the girls. Minus Lily and Marlene who were off doing Merlin knows what. Well, until they burst into the dormitory, distressed and calling for Madison.

Madison who was already in a bad mood because she was told not to go with the boys for Remus' monthly, just because she's got a sniffle. Jumping in alarm, her finger getting squashed by her book which slammed shut when she jumped, Madison stared at them expectantly.

"Sirius wants you." Said Lily, which was clearly a lie. Madison knew her all too well to know when she was lying. Standing up as putting her book on the side, Madison followed the girls out of the dormitory and up to the boys' where nobody was, not even Frank was there.

"What's goin-"

"Remus is a werewolf!" Blurted Marlene.

Madison nodded, "I know."

Lily was gobsmacked, "it's so obvious. How did none of us know? Like, I know why he kept it a secret, but the scars, disappearing each month. His mum can't be sick that much." She rambled pacing back and forth.

"LILY!" Cried Madison, "so what if he is?-" she sneezed, "and how-" She sneezed again, "did you find out?"

"We were outside by the lake talking, don't ask, and we saw Madam Pomfrey leading him towards the whomping willow. Then we heard footsteps and Potter's loud voice but didn't see them. We heard him say, 'Moony is in for a cold night tonight. I don't suppose werewolves are very insulated'. Then it clicked, you all call Remus Moony." Explained Marlene, "does that mean you're a lion?"

"What?" Asked Madison after blowing her nose.

"You know, Potter is obviously an animagus stag with the name Prongs, Peter a rat, and Sirius a dog. Which need I remind you is ILLEGAL! So does that make you a lion, your nickname is Leo."

Madison shook her head towards Lily, "no, coming to think about it Leo does make me sound like a lion but I'm not. I'm a panther, black leopard if you will." She shrugged sitting down on Sirius' bed, sneezing again into her tissue.

"Your sick? You weren't sick yesterday?" Lily changed the subject, sitting beside her friend. "Is that why you didn't go with the boys? I bet Sirius told you no. I don't suppose you'd listen to the other two." She brushed Madison's hair from her face. "You're burning up too. You ought to go to Madam Pomfrey."

"I'm fine. I will get over this cold the muggle way. I don't need potions left right and center." Madison replied coughing.

"I don't suppose you could hold off a werewolf when you're sick. I'm glad you didn't go, I think you'd be worse if you had gone." Said Marlene sitting also beside Madison, taking her hand and drawing circles on them. Madison's fave heated up but thankfully her cheeks were already risen against her sickly pale skin, and therefore didn't show at all.

"She wouldn't have transformed properly if she had. You need full concentration but with you being sick, it wouldn't have worked." Notified Lily like a scolding mother. "Come on let's get you to bed. You need it."Madison instinctively kicked back and laid down on Sirius' bed, nestling under the duvet with Lily and Marlene still sat upon the bed. "No, your own bed, Maddie."

"But I'm so- (she sneezed)- comfortable."

"Yes, but we don't want you getting nasty germs all over Sirius' bed and then him getting sick either, come on." Marlene held out her hand, pulling the brunette up and leading her out of the room, Sirius's pillows latched underneath her arm.

"He's going to need them, Maddie."

"No he won't Lily, trust me." She said quietly. "Marlene what are you doing?" The girl asked Marlene who led Madison to her bed and laid down beside her.

"I'm going to make sure you're alright." The blonde girl said, smiling brightly. "I'll stay until you are asleep."

"I'm fine, Marley." She told the girl, hoping that her face wouldn't heat up even more. DAMMIT MADDIE YOU ARE DATING SIRIUS!

"Are you sure?" The perky blonde asked sitting up, her thumb tracing along Madison's cheek bone. "I just want to make sure you are o-"

"Marlene, let's just let the girl sleep." Lily hissed at her friend quietly eying the other girls who seemed to have fallen asleep after they took Madison out. "She has Sirius." Lily pointed at the pillows Madison cuddled into her chest. Marlene frowned, only slightly, barely noticeable but Lily saw it, and slowly climbed out from next to Madison.

"If you need anything, Maddie, wake me up. You know you always can." She told the girl who nodded. "Night Marley, night Lils."

"Night Maddie." They both chorused. The pair waited for small snored to tumble from Madison's lips, courtesy of a blocked nose, and Lily pounced on Marlene, smacking her with a pillow.

"CALM YOURSELF!" Lily whisper-shouted.

Marlene sighed, blushing madly and leaning back. "I couldn't help it, Lily, she's beautiful."

"I know, Marls, but you know she's with Sirius." Said Lily, hugging the girl.

"I've liked her for so long and...and...gah! I want her so bad! It actually physically hurts. I don't understand it at all. I mean, I'm happy for her. She's happy. That makes me feel happy, but she was scared of him! Now she's...ugh...Lily, I just want to kiss her so much. You're so lucky you have!"

"I was drunk!"

"So?! I would have done anything for that, Lily. I told you that earlier!"

Lily and Marlene had sat by the lake, past curfew talking. Marlene had seemed down lately but nobody except Lily had noticed. The red headed girl wanted to see if she was okay, and if that meant breaking the rules, then so be it.

Marlene was in tears before she even said anything, crying into Lily's shoulder, saying repeatedly that "it isn't fair!" Marlene had been struggling to come to terms with her feelings and sexuality for a while now, confiding in Lily about her sexuality but never let on go who she fancied.

She fancied Madison so very much and as much as she was all for Sirius and Madison being in love, she couldn't help but feel jealous and have a want for Madison.

For the girl she couldn't have.
