Chapter 14: UA Sports Festival

                                    

                                          
 After a week of training, the UA sports festival arrived. We all gathered at the field with every other class giving us the death stare. "And now, representing class A, Bakugou Katsuki." Midnight announced. It brought me to shock that he was representing us. As he got up the stage he looked focused. Something seemed off though. "I just wanna say...I'm going to win," bakugou said casually.  "I KNEW HE'D SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" everyone yelled at once. I facepalmed myself before I shouted, "BAKA!" "What are you doing! You're supposed to be representing the class!" Ida yelled. "It's not my fault you are a bunch of weaklings," he said and looked at me. It pissed me off, it's as if he was directing it at me. I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Uh, f/n? you ok?" said Deku from behind me. I didn't realize my quirk was acting up. 
                          
"Oh sorry about that Deku. I'm just mad at him for that comment." I said. "Well that's Kachan for you, but there was something different about the way he said his speech. He's normally super confident and laughing, but now it seems that he's driving himself into a corner," he explained. I thought about it as we prepared for the rest of the day.
                          
The first part of the exam was interesting since it was a race of multiple of obstacles. I started to fall back once we reached the end since I used raging bull to get ahead and to fight off the robots. I also didn't want to wait for my energy since I knew I would make it. It was close to the match with the headband round, but I made it as well as bakugou. As we were all waiting for our turns for the 2v2 rounds, I never really had a chance to talk to Bakugou yet, now would be my chance. 
                          
I went to go grab a snack outside of the stadium, but before I could make it very far, someone grabbed my wrist. I gasped and kicked the leg of the person who grabbed me. "OW WHAT THE HELL F/N!" Bakugou yelled in pain and released me from his grasp. "Oh, it's just you. You nearly gave me a heart attack. I'm sorry. But I guarantee I'll hit harder if we fight." I commented "We will fight, I know You're strong enough to make it through, but I'll be strong enough to kick your ass!" he challenged. I smiled, then it faded. 
                          
"What's up?" he asked. "The speech you gave earlier was a dick move. You called everyone weak, I was part of that everyone you know." I said. "I didn't mean it." he said, "Sure you did. You know you're stronger than everyone even me. Normally you would have laughed when you challenged everyone. Since you didn't, It revealed that you say that so you don't disappoint anyone." Bakugou had no words. "Now that I think about it, the reason why you want to become so powerful and win is so that everyone can look up to you. It's not just the fame, it's the love and respect you seek from others." I explained. 
                          
Bakugou starred me in my e/c orbs as I stared into his. "You never stop surprising me, but-" he was cut off by the announcements. "Next up is f/n  l/n againstMina Ashido ." president mic yelled. "You were saying?" I asked. "Doesn't matter, win your match," he said and walked away. "I will."
                          
The match was 6 minutes long and I eventually won by knocking her out. "Good match f/n!" she said as I helped her up. "I'll see you at the seating," I said as she nodded. "Next up Izuku Midoriya and Shouto Todoroki" This is something I don't want to miss.
                          
I sat in between Bakugou and Kirishima during the match. It was outstanding. It was hard to watch Deku break himself as he fought todorokite. I am glad Todoroki finally used his fire and ice together and it made him look so cool! "I hope Deku will be okay after this. And from the looks of it, todoroki is kicking his ass." I commented. "Who cares what happens to stupid Deku," Bakugou commented. Jealousy? Yup. "Hey, man Deku is a cool kid. I mean yeah he can sometimes be wimpy and overanalyzing things often, but the fact that he can fight with a broken body is super manly." Kirishima said. I giggled. "In your opinion, who is the manliest in our class," I asked. "Ay don't put me on the spot here. That's so hard. Hmmm. Well, I would have to say Bakugou. He's got guts, strength, and can take a situation seriously when needed. Yet it's rare to see him calm and rational." Kirishima mention. "I AM ALWAYS CALM AND RATIONAL." He yelled. "Imma has to agree with Kirishima on this one." we laughed. 
                          
The fight shortly ended after our conversation and Todoroki won like I predicted, the people left are me, Tokoyami, Todoroki, and of course Bakugou. "Up next will be Tokoyami and f/n!" Mic yelled. "Here we go..."
