Lucina's POV
Before us stood a hooded figure. They were shorter than me and hid their face. "Ugh, there's more Ylissean dogs that need to be put down," the hooded figure said. Everyone pointed their weapons at her, but she stayed calm. "Well, I guess that means more playtime for me." She, for the voice was female, stepped forward. I saw a smile creep across her face, the kind that sends shivers down my spine. Though the smile threw me off, I recognized the voice. It was one I was familiar with.
"That voice..." I denied. "It can't be..."
"Figured out my little secret. Oh well, you were going to meet my Queen, tonight, so I guess it doesn't matter. But, the rest of you will die." She unsheathed her silver sword and twirled it around. Two generals came on her from both sides and attacked at the same time. She dodged their attacks, and then, stabbed one in the shoulder while kicking the other one in the gut, forming an almost perfect T. Finally, she spun in a circle, slashing their chests twice. Blood spattered on her, stained her clothes. She looked like a hooded demon.
Uncle Lon'qu caught her off guard and hit her to the ground. He could of stabbed and killed her, but he held back. He stood over her with his sword pointed at her chest, but she still had fight in her. She quickly swept his legs from underneath him. "Here to continue our fight?" She taunted as her hood fell back, revealing her black wavy hair. It was shoulder length and had shine to it. Three men grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her down. They pinned her arms and legs and gagged her.
"We meet again, Lady A," Uncle Lon'qu said. "Just want to ask you questions, so be a good girl and answer them." Uncle Lon'qu spoke in the tone that he used when he scolded Morgan, Alex, and me when we got into trouble. He looked down on Lady A who looked oddly familiar, just like the voice.
"Is the Queen of Plegia here, tonight?" Uncle Lon'qu questioned. Lady A stayed silent and stared up at him. We stayed in silence for five seconds before Uncle Lon'qu asked again. Again, no response, so he stabbed her in the leg. Not in the center where it would break the bone, but on the side. The attack was for the pain, not the intent of killing. She winced slightly, but she concealed it very well. She tried to not show any pain.
"Answer my questions and that won't happen again. Is the Queen of Plegia here?" She remained as still as a corpse. "You're making this rather difficult." He stabbed her again, deeper and more painful than the first. Her facade almost gave out; you could see she struggling with the pain. I wanted to yell at them to stop, but no words came out of my mouth. So, I stood back, absorbing all her pain.
Lady A laid in a puddle of her blood. Enough of it had drained that she was pale. One more blow she would faint. "Please Lon'qu," Aunt Lissa said, coming up behind him and placing her hand on his shoulder, "I don't know how much more she can take. Let me heal her."
"If you heal her, the pain will go away and that's what answers our questions."
"But, you can't get questions answered from the dead. Plus, what if this is really Alex? Would you really kill your niece?"
"A traitor has no family. What I thought was a dream is the truth. Alex is Lady A. She killed Frederick, Maribelle, and hundreds of people. She has betrayed Ylisse and our family. If she doesn't want us as family, we can't treat her like family.
"So Lissa, let me continue with I was doing. I promise I won't kill her." Aunt Lissa backed up reluctantly and Uncle Lon'qu proceeded. "Is it true that you and Morgan have switched sides?" She mumbled something, but no one understood because of the gag. She never nodded or shook her head. "Are you sure don't want to answer? You heard Lissa: you might not survive if you lose anymore blood. All it is is a simple yes or no." Alex just stared at him. She was ready to die. Uncle Lon'qu raised his sword. His eyes were glassy. He didn't want to do this. "I gave you a chance." He was ready to lower his weapon.
