Vanessa's POV:

For some reason, I'd agreed to drive Jordie up to Liverpool again. I was due to drop him outside of Alex's daughter's school so the two of them could pick her up from some club and go home. I knew that Jordie wanted to visit because Alex was due to leave for the Euro's soon but it seemed like too much hassle to be honest. We barely talked for the whole journey and I think both of us were glad when I finally pulled up to the school.

"There's Alex. See you mum." Jordie said, barely even waiting for me to finish parking before trying to open the door.

"Bye Jordie." I said as he hopped out of the car.

Before driving off again, I surveyed the school. It looked nice and it probably was, seeing that most of the kids that went there were rich. It was pretty big and had vast grounds, partially covered by a playground and a football pitch, amongst other things. It looked like a nice place to be educated and I couldn't help but feel jealous that there wasn't anywhere like this in my local area to send my kids to.

I quickly checked to see that Jordie had actually seen Alex and fortunately I saw both of them straight away, but with them was a third person. There was a woman stood by Alex, attempting to talk to him. She fitted the typical middle-aged, upper class mum stereotype with her clearly dyed blonde hair and designer clothing attempting to hide her age. The only problem was her obvious wrinkles which clearly indicated that she was pushing her forties instead of somewhere in her mid twenties.

Alex seemed very irritated by her and I couldn't help but feel intrigued as to what they were talking about. Why did Alex appear so keen for her to leave? Maybe she had some kind of dirt on him? Maybe he was cheating on Perrie with her! Eagerly, I leaned out of my window to watch the exchange but I was too far away to hear anything. Despite the teenage girl in me hoping that something secretive was going on, my common sense told me that I was crazy and they were simply just talking. Alex's bored looks and eye rolls in response to the woman's words seemed to dispel my suspicions too.

The woman's attention was swayed when Jordie walked over. She looked up at my son and squinted at him; I assumed that she was wondering who he was. I strained my ear and, despite having to hide the fact that I was eavesdropping, I leaned towards them to see if I could hear the conversation. And luckily, I just about could.

"Who's this young man?" The woman asked.

"Jordie, my son." Alex replied.

"I didn't know you had another son." She commented.

"Well I do. Carol, do you have a point or-" Alex asked impatiently.

"And who's that woman over there? The one attempting to eavesdrop?" She interrupted. I almost hit my head trying to pull it back into the car. Maybe I hadn't been as discreet as I'd thought.

"Jordie's mum."

"Lovely, I'll just go over to say hi. I don't want to be rude." I heard the woman say. Please don't. Seeing her begin to walk over to me, I started my car up and attempted to move it, but I'd parallel parked and the click-clacking sound of her heels notified me that she was too close for me to get away in time.

"Don't Carol!" I heard Alex call after her, but it was too late. She was already beside my car. I looked out of the window and saw the woman smiling pleasantly down at me, Alex silently fuming far behind her.

"Come on Jordie." He said to our son and then they walked away to go find Alex's daughter, leaving me with the crazy woman. Trying not to appear like a complete bitch, I smiled back at the woman, waiting for her to explain herself.
