Rose and Gabriel flew back to earth with a crash in a empty field but they weren't back at cross academy they were at Charlotte's old home town she had a few things to settle before you decided to see the vampires at the academy.

They walked to Charlotte's old apartment which didn't look at all disturbed except her mail box was full of mail and her place was still clean as she left it except her coffee mug that she left which was probably bitter. She could only show me the basics and gave me stuff to read about the other stuff that she couldn't explain. The whole packing up her apartment and storing stuff away took awhile because of her lessons teaching Gabriel human habits . She and Gabriel traveled by human transportation of airplanes then took some trains to get to where the academy was. When they entered they found the most unexpected sight before them.
