Arthit's POV

The freaking brat lives across from my apartment. He can practically see everything I am doing. How the fuck did I not know this before? Here I have been trying with all my might to avoid him, whereas all he has to do is turn his head and see everything he wants. Has he been living across from me this entire time?

It was pure chance that I came by this information. My friends and I were on the hook for tutoring some of the freshmen. And no points for guessing correctly that Kongpop was a part of that group too. Along with him sat his girlfriend, I think her name is Lila, although I don't remember directly talking to her once. Kongpop also seemed to have some sort of a sidekick named Krit. I have seen this frail guy follow Kongpop nearly all the time. Why would anyone look upto that brat is beyond me.

"P'Arthit are you also in the tutoring group? I didn't know your grades were high enough to be a tutor." Kongpop flashed me a condescending smirk, which I wished I had a way to erase off his face.

"Arthit here is a university topper. Did you guys not know? He is a complete worry wart when it comes to studies. Infact the more you see him stress the better he scores."

Kongpop narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously. That's right brat! I am smart too. Maybe now he will rethink whatever his crazy deal is. I tried to ignore him the rest of the time all of us sat on that table. I was mainly tutoring Krit the entire time but everytime I raised my head I would find Kongpop staring straight at me. He wasn't even pretending to hear what Bright was trying to tell him. Unbelievable. He wasn't even trying to be discrete now.

I packed my things as soon as the session was over to get as far away as possible before someone grabbed my arm to stop me. I turned around with a deepest scowl possible to scare away Kongpop. But instead I turned to see a slightly frightened Krit.

"Uhh...P'Arthit....you said I could borrow your 1st year notes.....ah....when can I come over?"

"Oh, uh, yeah. You free now? I am headed home anyway. You can pick them up right now." No matter what friction Kongpop and I had, I shouldn't take it out on his friends, least of all other freshmen. Although, I really think Krit likes following people. I had to stop multiple time and wait for him to catch up as we made our way over to my room.

I was trying to collect all the notes that would be helpful to him when he asked me a question that probably shut my heartbeat for a second.

"P'Arthit why don't you travel to campus and back with Kong every day?"

"Wh...what?" Did I hear him right? He wants me to travel with the one person I do everything possible to avoid?

"Yeah don't you think it would be very convenient?"

"Why would travelling with Kongpop be convenient?"

"Because he lives so close to you and he has a bike so he can give you a ride."

"He lives close by? How close?"

"That is his balcony right there. I would say that is pretty close."

I sat speechless for atleast a couple hours once Krit left. I needed to re-evaluate my entire strategy. No wonder avoiding him hadn't been working. I think it's time to go on the offensive. Something definitely weird is going on with that boy and I need to figure out what.

I shut the lights to my room to make sure he wouldn't be able to see inside my room. I closed the curtains well, leaving only a small gap for me to peak through. But as hard as I tried to squint I couldn't make out anything specific other than his overall silhouette.

That's when it clicked. I actually had a solution to that problem. I had bought a gift for one of my cousin's daughters earlier in the year. I never got a chance to give it to her. It was a bird watching kit, and it came with tiny binoculars. And it took me only a few minutes to dig through my stuff to locate the box. Perfect!

Maybe if this nagging feeling of uneasiness hadn't taken over me I would have reflected on my actions as I sat on the corner of my desk, spying on Kongpop through the binoculars. To anyone else I was probably looking ridiculous. But I was sure I would prove all those imaginary skeptics wrong someday.

He seemed to be sitting on his desk studying. He never once looked in the direction of my room. Maybe because he knew he couldn't see anything with the lights off. After a while, he casually stood up and stripped his shirt and started walking around his room.

I audibly gasped before it turned into a frown. Who walks around their room half naked with the windows wide open? Doesn't he realize people can see him? And completely involuntarily, I couldn't help but notice that he had a really good body. How does a freshman get muscles like those? And those freaking abs. He kept parading around his room with his chest exposed. If I didn't know better, it was almost as if he was trying to show off his body to someone.

Kong's daily report entry:

10 years of intense training. And now I am being spied on by pink toy binoculars. I don't know who should feel more stupid. Him or me.
