This side of my skin
Is different than other people's.
This side of my skin
Has scars and bullet holes
That no one else knows about
Except me.
This side of my skin
Hides my secrets
And boils my blood.
This side of my skin
Is where I go to hide.
No one can find me here
Because even I can't find myself.
This side of my skin
Is my own empire,
Built of bricks and stones
That may crumble at my touch.
This side of my skin
Is pale and feeble.
I hope it remains untouchable now.
I hope I learned from my mistakes...
Yet I keep going back.
This side of my skin hides my pain.
What does yours hide?
